Iv'e just bought a bag from ebay sammy as well as some giant cous cous, I've been looking for some for ages after my sister mentioned it.
I've just had my winter joint gas/electric bill _pale_. It is estimated but I've checked and it's basically correct. I have a 2 bed bungalow, so a small property. I don't have a fire, I never had the heating on in the mornings (or in the afternoons when I'm here unless it was so cold my fingers didn't type!), I have the water on for 40 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes in the afternoon. I took part in an energy challenge on DFW and my useage was tiny. Nothing is on standby, stuff not used is unplugged, only lights in the room we are in are on, the TV is only on from around 8pm each day, we sit under throws in the evening and the heating was never on for more than 2 hours a day - maximum and at a temp. cut off of around 16C.
The joint bill is £292........_pale_ and they've upped my monthly payment to £87 from £36 _pale_"Stay Wonky":D

not sure what else I can do - I don't even have a tumble drier or an electric shower that typically eat powerAll of my fittings are the spot light types, but we don't even have the main lights on - just 2 lamps in the evening and as it's a bungalow - it's only 1 floor that can ever be lit!
I had £36 brought foward from my last quarter and the breakdown was then £89 for electricity and £161 for gas (ouch!) . God knows what it would have been if I'd have given in and had the heating on more than I did! Even OH kept saying how mean I was not to have it on later in the evening.
I have just read a thread where someone this week has had an £870 bill for a 3 bed semi, so maybe I am cut right back to the bone and that's just the way it is these days."Stay Wonky":D
