Mid price range though as cheap ones dont last.

I've got one of those keep warm kettles but have used the button probably 3 or 4 times ever. I thought OH would find it useful as he drinks 3 cups or so in the morning but he didn't seem fussed and just re-boils it. Had it about 5 years and it's still going strong but does need de-scaling again. Think it cost around £18 or so 5 years ago.

Can we help with the memo at all?
Have you spokern to your GP re depression at all?

thanks Beanie, I did see the GP but she said essentially I needed to change my job or change my attitude to my job - ie have a life outside of work and not be so invovled at school.

I was doing so well, made up my mind to go, and then my two faced !!!!!!! of boss etc etc etc. I really hate him. but then I hate feeling so negative, he was at work this morning and thankfully I couldn't really speak to him. that upset me and then the memo. just outlines my "problems"

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: lying sacks of !!!! that I work for!!! poisonous politcs.

    I loathe feeling so bitter,

so in a sec I am going to tidy up my room make a physical change to help make a mental change. (self help books may be helpful for once!)

Z I always find the plastic ones get so much limescale build up and make the water taste funny. Depends how much you want to spend to be honest, you can't go wrong with the dualit but its pricey but I always think the stainless steel versions are better.

the more basic the better though, less to go wrong in my book :)

I don't have problems with hard water - the sediment at the bottom of my kettle is the element rusting...

I don't mind spending provided it's value for money (rather than cheap) IYSWIM. I was just wondering about these "cool wall" things and stuff like that. Do they keep the water warmer for longer?

I think the gas board might be right about the heating coil in the hot water tank - just about boiled myself in the bath. Never mind, I only went in cos I was cold and achey. The constant dripping is drving me nuts though.

Sammy - enjoy your beer. It is hard enough being a 'single' Mum without the boundaries being changed every weekend. Take time out for yourself and relax a bit. I don't think I am too far from you actually if you fancy chatting to an old prude at some point! :D

    Hugs Buffy.

Gemmzie - rest awhile and wait for a few more spoons to be delivered.

Sal - kids usually bounce but just be aware as I am sure you are.

    Lenny - WOW! How exciting.
