just spoken to Scottish Power and they accessed the national database to check last winter's consumption (I hop around companies) and they say that their predicted useage is correct. The best they can change my direct debit to from £92 is..........£87...........whoop de bloody do.......

shows how energy prices have shot up over the last 12 months - I've never paid over £60 - even in the winter months. I usually pay between £40 and £60 depending on company and time of the year.

Spud - does yours not change with the seasons? Or do you change the amount once a year?

No BB, mine stays the same all year round. They've pretty much got it spot on now, never in credit by much, but not owe owt either.

I'm dreading next year though. Our prices have been fixed since 2006, so will see a huge rise next year

Age is only a number after all

Very true - another vote for the older man here, I'm 29 and Grey will be 45 in a couple of months. Oh and I do the same as BB to wind him up - he'll talk about something that happened in 1983 and I'll say "oh yes, I remember that year, I went to nursery..." :rotfl:

Yep its never been my thing before - but there's definitely benefits to an older man:
    experience where it counts ;)
    less selfish
would have had kids if wanted them by now (this is a huge plus for me)
    more relaxed
less likely to want to get married or worry about 'the future' :D

Good AFternoon all, just popping in for now and will catch up later. But for now, here's a joke:

Mickey mouse divorced Minnie Mouse for having bucked teeth. When in court he said, 'I never said she had bucked teeth, i said she was !!!!ing Goofy!'

Lol okay so it's a thumbs up for the older man.....I'll keep you all posted then... ;)

XOH was slightly older but only by 3 years, other exes have been either my age or slightly younger, apart from when I was 22 and I was briefly seeing someone who was 34, but that was a bit messy as he turned out to be married.

So I think it's time to give older men another try! :rotfl:

    BB - I'm 34, so a 10 year gap - not that huge really?

Becky - liking the 'experience where it counts' thing - sadly he would have an awful lot to live up to *sigh* but you never know. :o
