I dont know much about insurance and regulators but surely a company this bad, with so many problems wouldnt be allowed by the insurance regulators to carry on....would they?0

Just want to thank you all for helping me avoid this obvious landmine. Very nearly got sucked into this one.0

hello how long on average do 1st central take to settle a claim ? thanks john0

I have just had my write off settled today I had the accident on 11th Feb and received the money 13 Mar. This company has a lot of babd press but the main thing I noticed was a lack of communication. Everything else seems fine but you will have to chase them to get it moving along quickly.0

We're on the verge of buying a policy from these guys.
I'm also suspicious that 90% of those rubbishing and slagging off are totally new posters who apparently joined merely to have a go at them and have posted nothing since. *But* when I've been really upset or angry about a company's appalling service I've probably done similar....
I've found all the posts by established members to be really useful but... still not sure what to do now.
Risk it or go with the next one on Confused which is an extra £100 per year.?

If your lucky you claim might be handled by one of their new members of staff

P.S Are you aware that they do not cover you to drive other cars and that if you write your car off they cancel the policy with no refund (You will owe any remaining instalments)0 -
My advise is stay clear my year with them ends next week thank god. I have never been able to get thru to them even when i wanted to make a claim, they never got back to me so i ended up paying for the damage myself. Cheap but when you need them they not there for you. To top it off bearing in mind ive never claimed with themmy renewal was bumped up from £500 to £18000

It looks like Tom has been doing his T**d polishing when writing the Job Vacancies...
First Central Insurance Management Ltd is part of an international Group (They are based in Gibralter as the regulation is more lenient / cheaper)that sells motor insurance products to UK customers. This is a rare opportunity to be part of our success as we grow. We are committed to providing the highest standard of service to our customers. (You have a long way to go) Our plan is to achieve this through the training and development of our staff, by listening to our customers and looking for new ways to improve the way we work(Why don't you get them to answer the phone then)". http://www.reed.co.uk/job-details/Haywards-Heath/Claims-Negotiator-Level-/?JobID=18013845&set=7&ns=True&ProfileID=4028&lit=20 -
