And why does it have to have two names? Children aren;t fashion accessories - they don;t have to match!
My one cousin is most put out that he doesn't have a middle name and his little brother does...

Depends on the children, but I know I'd have been mad if my Brother had more names than me! I always felt sorry for my Mum, she didn't have a middle name :(

Talking of names - we had decided on a name, and told everyone, and everyone has been calling the baby that for months, but OH has decided to maybe call him something else :rotfl:We aren't telling anyone though, so they might get a shock! I think I'm going to have to wait and see what he looks like.

(Pain update, only one big contraction type thingy today, just as I was emailing OH to tell him I think its all stopped)

Being induced - they are happy to provide regularly montioring and not induce here. Lady at the DAU was a week overdue and being monitored, and was not having any sweeps or anything.

I thought she meant two names as a first name, together, like Cait-Leah. To me middle names are normal - I think it's very weird my Oh doesn;t have a middle name - but I wouldn;t refer to it as two names IFYSWIM.

I get so confused with names - first names, second names, christian names etc.

Which reminds me, I need to find a Saints name for the middle name.

Don't suppose anyone knows if it has to be a Patron Saint type name, or can it just be any Saints name? (For a Catholic Baptism)

FG my friend is catholic and her name is Kate Michelle St Ann then surname if that helps at all. The St Ann bit is only used for Catholic services/ceremonies etc thou!

Sorry to hear all the sad news over the last few days - think we all need a chocolate/ice cream indulgence!

I felt quite put out at not having a middle name, when my brothers both had one. My 2 children have a middle name and while deciding on names for our next little bundle, my hubby said " it doesn't have to have a middle name". He has one too and was quite suprised by my reaction when I insisted it did. Maybe I just need to get out more.
I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

Would have thought you could have any Saint's name - ask your parish priest. I think things are quite relaxed now. I was brought up Catholic (not practised for few years, though) & mum named me after 2 saints, which made life easier when I got confirmed as I could have one of those names instead of choosing another. My friend had her little girl baptised last summer & neither of her names is a Saint's name, if that helps.

Just had a though, (replyed to another thread).

All of use who are expecting summer babies, we should be putting down 'baby sun screen' on our lists. I find the sprays easier, and wish they would sell 'sunnies' again.

    OMG I've got 8 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have decided to keep the section booked, by the looks of a few recent posts i've seen on various sites, seems like they have all spent only 2 nights in hospital, so hopefuly I wont be in too long, although that doesnt mean I aint still trying to get bubs out before hand! :D

AM I went in Tuesday AM, had Eloise at 3.50pm (because they had 4 emergencies and I kept being put back) and left hospital on Thursday at about 11.30am, so only two nights in for me too, just make sure you get out of bed and moving as soon as you can
