Thanks for making me feel welcome again. It's good this place. You can feel like you have never been away.

toots thanks for your tips. I do have loads of school stuff to do as well as house stuff, but i also have the kids in nursery 4 days over the hols. Today, Wednesday, next Wed and Fri, so hopefully i will be a lot further on in a shorter time for having no kids. 1st week back should also be quite easy as one of my 3 days is a training day.
sexymouse. 1st week back was a stonker. I got a text on the weekend before i went in to say that OFSTED were in on the Tue/Thur. So basically, my leisurely week of pottering/finding out stuff was really interupted. Although the fire alarm went off in the middle of the inspection, we got a satisfactory overall so that isn't bad - it's now 3 years since the special measures observation so good for us. I was exhausted by the end of it though.
kaz sounds like you are having lots of 'fun' there. That with the deep fat fryer could have been really nasty. Glad you weren't hurt.
Right, i need to put away some ironing and go and pick up the kids. I'll update you all later on my progress.

ZCC - sorry you didn't make it. We had a lovely time sitting in the sun having lunch & gossiping. I'd talk to the other neighbour whose space they are using before deciding what to do, you need to be careful not to antagonise them (particularly if you're on your own), and remember that you are going to have to live next to them (and their hideous conservatory... ), so you have to decide whether you need to make the boundaries clear now, or whether you can live with the annoyance/inconvenience for a bit. It could be the workmen making the mess and your neighbour may not know that they're taking up your parking space during the day.
No flying done, but the phone/email have been busy so I've done a bit of work.0 -
ZCC...Not unreasonable at all...its your space!
Will get tea going then do a tidy in the lounge...its not been done yet but I did do my grocery shopping online. I am naughty...I registered as a new user (previous account in DH's name so technically I am!) and used a code for £6.25 off. As they say 'every little helps'!
Off to move the toy drawer unit thingy in the lounge to under the stairs. See you later. x0 -
Going to do a HHC in the bedroom before tea - DH has come in and wants to know where we're going to be sleeping tonight!

ZCC - if your parking space (and your neighbours) are definitely assigned to you you need to go and tell your new neighbours, that this is the case - it may be that they don't know or that their vendor/solicitor never told them they have no right to that space...so you need to be tactful. If they then get shirty and refuse to allow you your access it could all get very nasty. Good luck with it - rather you than me!
