I have no other problems with the phone as of now - I only had it for less than 2 weeks, and I have to say I love it.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

It works!!! (well, at least those 11 steps around the ground floor). Now, how can I put it as a wallpaper? Everytime I try, it says 'Operation failed'.... Is it only with specific themes or something that it works? Or is it another Orange trick?
then install the app from the .jad file and hopefully it should work.
it's been a long time since i messed around with getting java apps as a wallpaper but thats how i think i did it on my k8100 -

To be honest, I wouldnt recommend this phone to you unless music is priority. (Obviously, since it is a walkman phone)
I've had it for 6 weeks and there are many "annoying" things.
1. The keypad is really really flat and requires my nails to dig in to text. It is ok when your a slow texter, but this is really taking the....
2.The camera is ok for 3.2mp, for the odd shot but it doesnt allow zooming unless your in VGA mode.
3. The speaker is behind the phone, so its not that great in that sense
4. The memory card is inside the phone case, so you will need to remove the back cover if you want to access it. (It was easy to put in and take out of my old phone, so data transfer was less hassle)
5. My phone slider is really shakey at the moment, started to loosen after 3 weeks. So the build quality is questionable at the moment.
6. If I apply a little bit of pressure on the screen to slide up and down, you can see like an "air bubble". (theres a gap between the screen and the glass at the front). Possibility of cracking like the Samsung D900?
I think the only good thing is the form factor and the wifi. Also the texts has a conversation thing, like msn messenger, which is really cool.
Wifi you can hook it up to your wireless network or anywhere that gives you a wireless network (as long as you have the password to the locked wifi areas). Then the internet will be free. I've found that, with this phone the wifi overrides the internet (if you're connect to wifi).
If I could, I would actually swap my W705 for the W995. (its estimated release is in June somewhere, but it WILL be expensive). This W705 is mid-ranged phone, so i guess i was expecting too much from it.
When the time comes and the W995 is really good and i could afford it, i might actually sell my phone and get that instead.
Note: if any other users dont suffer from these problems... could you tell me because i might have a defective phone and not know it . So I will ask for a replacement.

Thanks, Thats good about wi-fi cos i've got it at home so would def be cheaper!!!
I'm gonna try and have a look in a shop at this phone.
I'd phone up your provider and see what they say...0 -

My phone doesn't do any of the things you said, like shaky slider and a bubble in the screen - not present on my phone. I've only had it a week though.
I think it's alright, it looks nice. Definitely a phone for people wanting music on their phone, the camera is pretty average.0 -
Great thread, just got the phone myself today, and couldn't find the walk mate. Also downloaded a few other apps from sony, (can't find where they are on the phone at the moment though....I can't even find the radio that's supposed to be on it
I hate new phones!!!0
