Does this work for cleaning sofas aswell? we have little ones who spill on ours constanly.

    thanks

I haven't used it on a sofa but can't see any reason why it wouldn't work just as well on it.
As long as you did a small patch on an inconspicuous area first to check it is colour fast it would probably come up a treat.
The other thing it is good for is when a spill happens instead of trying desperatley with kitchen towel to soak it up I just use the machine to suck up the spill first then just carry on and give it a quick wash -Job done!
    Hope this helps :)
  • Sorry if someone has also mentioned this but Costco fresh berries are so much cheaper than the supermarkets. For example raspberries are £5.98kg in costco and in tesco they are over £13.00 a kg. Blueberries have a similar differential. Strawberries are £2.77kg in Costco and £6.20kg in Tesco. Cherries are £5.99kg verses over £10kg in supermarkets. I know you have to buy larger quantities in Costco but I get through a lot of fruit so for me it is worth it.

At those sorts of prices, when you compare it to Tesco prices, they make economical sense to buy as little treats for lunch boxes etc. Thanks

I'd also recommend the Costco grapes, they come in a huge container and they seem to last for ages without going off.

I usually freeze half to use for crumbles, yoghurts etc
frozen grapes are scrummy little treats in summer too, just let them soften for about 20mins before tucking in :)

  • The Aberdeen Costco had black or pink Filofaxes, with 2010 diary for under £6. I can't remember the style but it is about an A5 size with a grainy leather.

Assuming that I have the paperwork to join either and my local ones are both in the same town - which would be better to join? Makro or Costco.

Predicted purchases - chicken fillets, salmon fillets, nappies etc

    Many thanks!

MAKRO has to come 1st since membership is FREE

ANYTHING you ever buy there that is cheaper than anywhere else justifies joining.

The only thing you are going to lose is any time spent visiting the store assuming you leave without making a purchase.

COSTCO will cost you £25 per year
You may well save this amount and justify joining.

If you are willing to cough up the £25 then you might as well JOIN BOTH :)
