    Hi,

I'm going to New Orleans mid-Sept and looking for the cheapest possible flights. Flights to the US seem to have sky-rocketed over the last year!:(

Cheapest so far seems to be £978  rtn for 2 people, Continental via Newark - from website Just the Flight.

Anyone know of any special flight offers coming up to anywhere on the east coast or Texas? I can get an internal connecting flight relatively cheaply, I think but it's the trans-Atlantic crossing that costs an arm and a leg.

    Thanks!
  • Hi. Can anyone help please...
We along with many other people have bought a property in Northern France. Lower Normandy (Pay de la Loire) and seem to be stuck into having to travel by very expensive ferry crossings which I might add Brittany seem to have the monopoly on. We live in Wales & want to make regular trips over & I cannot understand how Cardiff being an International Airport has no flights to any where near Normandy. In fact the nearest I've found is Flybe who go from Exeter to Rennes which is a new route. Surely there must be masses of people who feel the same. I don't want to have to travel all the way to London to fly to France. Why can't I fly from Cardiff or Bristol?
The ferries are always packed out but again it's at least three hours to Portsmouth on a good day.
There are such a lot of people who have either bought holiday homes in northern France or making the permanent move as we are, that want to commute frequently but cannot due to the lack of routes.
I wouldn't even mind paying more as the ferry crossing is so expensive anyway but would like the convenience of getting there quicker..
Please please please airlines can we have some flights from Wales to Northern France. I'll be your 1st customer!

hi was wondering if anyone knows the best place to get a cheap return flights to tenerife im going 10/08/07 returning 7 days later want to fly from liverpool airport as cheap as possible ...
  • I want to save money by booking a last minute package deal just so I can use it for the flight only, but I have to go on a particular day and it must be from ema or bhx has anybody done this and got the day they want using a last minute package holiday. I would like to try this but I am scared it wouldn't go my way have bad luck like that. Then I would miss some of the holiday. I want to fly to Larnaca, Cyprus midlde of September, must be a Wednesday (time-share dictates that) can't seem to find many companies that fly on Wednesdays from BHX or EMA package or not. i notice First Choice fly on Wednesdays to Paphos but the transport from there to Larnaca would be expensive taxi wise, unless I hire a car from the airport for a few days. could do that, then again at the end of the holiday, can anybody advise.
    I would be grateful.

    Hi Martin.
I'm a keen MoneySaver from the U.K. currently working in the Republic of Ireland for a year.
Any chance http://www.aerarann.ie/ could be added to FlightChecker please?!

Any other Irish MoneySaving initiatives gratefully accepted!

    Keep up the good work.

  • Hi, I just called to say thanks for nothing to everyone here. I could not thank you more. Not many people are generous enough to give others nothing, and for that reason I yet again thank you for nothing! Oh, and just incase I didn't mention, thanks for nothing. ;)

  • I have recently seen an article in the Daily Mail and on Martins tips of £10 flights inc taxes to various destinations. Wanted to travel over a two week period between 13 June - 16th June or 18 - 20th June from LPL to ABZ. No offer for the £10 flights is advertised on Ryanair website. When you put these dates/destination in, first week is £4.99 + £17.50 taxes, second week is £0.01 + £17.50 taxes.

Try ringing them (at 10p per minute) only to be told ring an alternative number (at £1.00 per minute) to find out why these offer is not bonafide. I think not.

Has anybody out there had a similar experience or has ANYBODY managed to bag a £10 flight out of the ether.

I would be very interested to know

    Best wishes

Not much to choose between airlines. Take your own wheelchair as you may not be allowed to take theirs out of airside of building and there may not be one available immediately. Look at holidays in France, La Rochelle for example, accommodation for diy "Gites de France" If you have problems don't expect the airlines to bother to reply to your complaints. Still waiting for BA to reply to Email and letter of more than a year ago!Good luck.

I think the whole idea of getting cheaperflights/holidays is great. However if you are disabled, with mobility difficulties and fatigue, as I am you need to be a bit more cautious and find out if you can get assistance, stairlifts, seats with extra leg room wheelchair, accessible room etc.

Does anyone have any tips for me about disability aware/friendly tour operators airways and hotels without spending loadsa money as I am on benefits and who doesn't love a bargain.

I am looking for sun without humidity as close as possible eg Malta Cyprus Benidorm. Accessible hotels resorts that aren't too loud would be helpful too. Had very bad experience with First Choice and Tenerife

Here's hoping Martin's wonderful site can encorporate disabled friendly companies or at least flag them up to congratulate them and encourage others to become disabled friendly!

    waiting with anticipation...

Try Transmanche ferries, go to transmanche.ferries.org ( NOT .com or .uk as these are agents!) They go from Newhaven to Dieppe, may be further to drive but are much cheaper £60 to 90 out of season for a return. Good new boats not much shopping and NO newspapers on board.
