    MY NORFOLK GREENHOUSE UPDATE.

Ok people i will update you on my Norfolk Greenhouse Ultimate 6.
    http://www.norfolk-greenhouses.co.uk/shop/shop-infopage.php?longref=71~0
Started to assemble it yesterday Midday Sat 2/5/ frame went together easy and as i was on my own it took a little time but its all up, done the doors and glass and thats as far as i got in a day. I just have to do the glass which like other greenhouses does not clip in you have to make a frame and screw it to the greenhouse. but all in all quite pleased with my progress. :T
    PS
I did have a lot of help from Mr Bosch cordless screwdriver ;)

Well done, I have the norfolk lean to which isn't the best but good for the money and the only one that would fit. It took me a week to put up but that was because I had to do it during my daughters naptimes and avoid the windy days. The hardest bit was attaching it to the shed but you won't have that problem.
Only tip is when putting the roof on, fix one screw in before drilling the others - I drilled all the holes on one section and when I'd put the first screw in the rest didn't line up  (probably obvious to most people though!)

A make sure you have a drink ready for when you've finished - you'll need it! ;)

    hey balloo,

how sturdy would you say this greehouse is??? I need a cheap one too but my garden gets some pretty strong winds which managed to kill my last one! It was sited next to a hedge (well about three foot away) so I thought that would be enough cover but I guess not.

I really can't afford to spend a lot of money (same as everyone else I guess! LOL!) but I NEED a greenhouse........

I have seen a steel one on homebase website which I think might be a bit better.......

    Any opinions???

We just bought one from ebay but it was a new one. A palram silverline 8x6 and am v.pleased with it. Its polycarbonate not glass so dont need to worry bout kids. the glazing is really well held together by plastic strips and imo, seem better than the sort with clips so hopefully no blow outs.

we tried to get a 2nd hand one off ebay but there are so many bidders for them. the last one i bid for i missed out on by £2 and that was with a max bid of £150 !!!! Plus there is hassle of taking apart and then fitting together again.

am really excited bout my veggie garden though............. never thought i would end up with a greenhouse. have installed an old garden chair down by veggie plot so i can sit and stare at the greenhouse. plus i can supervise husband whilst sitting and sipping on a gNt !!!

    regards to all

Seems ok and comes with loads of predrilled holes to fix it down to your base and when the polycarbonate glass is in its stronger I havent worked on it since sat been ill so not done all the glazing yet. Mine is the Ultimate it has got Polycarbonate glazing not the plastic on a roll one

B&Q in the last sale they had sold a Palram 6x6 frame for £114.00 they sold the polycarbonate glazing seperatly for £64 but the offer finished. Now they are offering a 10% discount with the privilege card. They sell thier own make to.
