I can definitely confirm that I'm not anyone else on this board. I'm just an individual with an opinion, like everyone else. I agree with some not with others.

    Love this comment though -

"Maybe we are not all super brainy, or ever passed an exam (although does have a Dd taking 14 gcse's including Russian, Italian & Spanish at the moment all at A*/A apart from textiles and games which are a/b. She already has gcse Latin & German A*)."

Sorry, what's your point?. Are you suggesting your lack of knowledge is somehow negated because you've managed to spawn genius offspring? Maybe she could help you with the answers?

    Terribly sorry old chum!
I wasn't very clear and it was actually your comment I was getting at.
If you're too stupid to work the answer out then have some self respect and retire gracefully. If you're too stupid to get the answer when it's hidden under a little grey bar or so stupid that you don't notice the answer when it's already been given in the thread then I think natural selection will probably deal with you itself, next time you try to cross a road or change a lightbulb!
Oh and by the way, what lack of knowledge are you talking about as I have managed quite quickly to work the answers out for myself bar one.
Do I live in social housing - yes
    Am I uneducated - yes
Do I watch soaps - No
Am I proud that even though obviously not educated to your standard, I have managed to support, encourage and nurture a beautiful intelligent young woman - yes
My comments were a little bit tongue in cheek because I was sick of righteous people who seem to be out for oneself passing judgement on the kind and generous members of this forum.

Look Jeanmd, I don't want to fight with you. I don't know what your daughter has to do with any of this.

Social housing, uneducated, soaps.... irrelevant. If you're a good person that's all that matters.

I still don't agree with giving the answers away but it's not a big deal. Good luck to everyone.

Oh yeah Oingo Boingo, you can stop posting all the answers now because they're of no use to anyone.

So why are you here moaning about it then?

I'm not moaning. I WAS moaning but no longer.

I have transcended the material goods plane. Good things will come to those who deserve them.

I see you've had a few dry months :rotfl:

Actually, I won some stuff in February, and a prize just last week - I just keep forgetting to update my sig.

Is it really of any matter to you whether I've won or not? I don't see what is funny about it.

I am not really sure why you are here. Your behaviour suggests "troll" to me. If you're not, then I am wondering why you persist in railing against the way that this forum is and always has been. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Most people don't mind sharing answers - for everyone I know, there are always a few that I don't know immediately and am grateful for the time it saves me not looking it up.

It doesn't really affect my rate of winning either - it's totally random, for a start, and if someone WANTS to win a prize, they'll make more effort to find the answers.

I think I might have been a bit of a troll and I admit that 'dry few months' comment was a cheap shot.

I'm a lovely person, I don't mean to cause any (real) offence and I can guarantee you that this is my last word on this issue.

    Good luck all.

    Day 12:

What object is skewed out of perspective in Holbein's painting that features a lute, a globe and a celestial map?

    It's a Skull, innit....

Painting: The Ambassadors (1533) by Hans Holbein
(But look at the crucifix in the top left corner)

Henry VIII was a bit of a card, wasn't he....

Same thing happened to me yesterday, and today, I think it just sticks there until the end of the 24 hour period
