Ah I see, its one of those instances of a person who selectively answers questions while raising other questions. In other words, someone who doesn't have the answers and can't admit it.
What a worthless discussion with a mental recumbant.0 -

What a worthless discussion with a mental recumbant.
Another numbskull who reads words that are not there to form their own angle on what someone is posting.
I refer you to your above post that makes assumptions on my thoughts.
Are you the Mentalist?
Sorry, I meant the Mentalists inferior brother...
If you think chucking loads of cash at a business model that is a sieve would work you are worse than Mr Brown.
At least he would pretend to Blu-Tak the holes first.

As regards pay rates in the Automotive Manufacturing Sector I suggest you do a little research, I am quite satisfied they are.
Well obviously i need some education then, like i said would you care to enlighten me?
Not really in the spirit of a forum is it to say i know everything, but i'm not willing to pass any knowledge on!
I think the point your trying to get at is that these scrappage bonus's will generate X amount of Revenue. But because the wage bill is a small percentage of turnover the majority of this extra revenue will make its way back to the parent company who is not likely to be domiceled in the uk. I don't disagree.
However its not really the point, the benefits of retaining the employment and maybe clawing some the lost jobs back imo would put more into the economy than it would take out. I don't think it is disputable that this would happen either.
With regards to the unions and pay. I agree completely that the unions are there own worse enenmy and they are largely responsible for getting the motor industry into the state thats its in. In the case of Ford the pay increase was negotiated at a time when inflation was sky high, after inflation nose dived and the econimic climate deterioated dramatically Ford tried to rescind the offer, the union refused and threatened legal action. IMO the union should of conceeded for the greater good, as all it has acheived is making more job cuts nessecary.
I'm still not convinced that the wage's are that disproportainete accross the industry. MFRing maybe but thats only about 25% of people employed by the industry.0 -

.....................Spot on
However its not really the point.
......................Yes it is. Is it £1 per unit traded in or £30k that you want give? Its called good practice...

.....................In the case of Ford it actually goes back to Henrys time & has been mirrored across the whole industry ever since. Not Again0 -
