I stopped counting after 50 lessons...! I passed the test last Friday at the fourth attempt.

It doesnt matter how long it takes, what does matter is that you're a safe and competent driver

They must be driving illegally then as you cant get a license without passing a test!

    Yes you could.
  • I must have had 60+ lessons overall.

Failed 2 practical tests then gave up for 6 months, but after just 10 lessons with my new instructor i then passed on my 3rd attempt. Wish i had changed instructor earlier.

My Dad told me his friend failed his test years ago for taking the mick out of the highway code, when asked what sign he would see on a country road he answered "eggs for sale"..

    HI,
I took my test abroad and by the law you had to take 36 hrs before you were even alowed to go for the test.

I was O.k. with practical, my brother's friends used to teach me drive since I was 15 (I am fairly sure that is only because it made them feel good - bullying someone:-))
My instructor always fell asleep in a car on the way from his mum (always organised my lessons for lunch time or dinner time, I waited outside for 20 mins with book while he had his meal and than I drove back again:-)) Great fun, his mother lived 30 miles away).

Made 1 mistake while doing the test (the car died when I was supposed to reverse up the hill!!!), but still passed. Was very nervous after making that mistake (maybe that is because I started off too confident), but tried to breathe deeply few times to steady my hands and that seemed to work.

    Good luck!!
