All depend on what the price band the store runs from.
This is decided by the local competition. If you have serveral major names within a couple of miles etc then that shop will be on the most competitive band so best prices.
If you find 7.49 then you are lucky most of us will get 9.97

Slip in a couple of coupons, thats how I got it down to £7.49 ;)

They are excellent headphones, and the quality/range seems to be very good all around the house.

Can anyone that got a set of these please post the barcode ? - think it makes it easier for Tesco to look for them on their system.

Or for that matter, has anyone seen them in the Derby / Nottingahm ish area ?

I got these a couple of days ago from Brent park.
Up to now I'm pretty impressed and I get a good signal everywhere in the house :D
The only place I get the whistle is sitting here at the pc with my head tilted to the left :rotfl:
Ok, they're not audiophile quality but for a tenner they are excellent :D

Mmmm, only other local bit of competion is a small non electric item somerfield. Then its a 15 mile hike to a sainsburys and a 45 mile run to the nearest asda.

Major electrical retailers are all 15 miles+

Rang around several of my nearest larger Tesco's and eventually found a store that actually knew anything at all about them - and as it happened - they had some in - 2 to be precise (approx 8pm) - unfortunately they are £19.97.

When I queried she said that about 10 days ago many people were asking for them but they had none in stock - up to that point they never had had any in fact, in the meantime she had been on holiday for a week and some had actually arrived whilst she was away.
She wasn't aware of the £9.97 price (except people previously asking for them) but checked by scanning them and double checking on some computer system.
I said I understood they had been reduced due to being discontinued.
She confirmed that they were listed as "Discontinued" but definitely £19.97.
I said "Odd" - She said "I'll check with a manager"

Apparently (said the manager) the £9.97 offer ended last Wednesday (8th) having been on for 2 weeks.

The reduction "was not because of them being discontinued" but "because they were part of a promotion"

She seemed to think the the "promotion" was actually "a Mothers' Day promotion".
I commented that it was an "odd" sort of an item for a Mothers' Day present and rather strange to end it last Wednesday when Mothers' Day is still 2 weeks away.

She "agreed" but couldn't offer them at anything less than £19.97

So, if anyone finds anywhere with some at a different price, OR bought some AFTER Wednesday 8th, please post details !!
