Telephone harrassment follow up letter
Dear Sirs,
Account No: XXXXXXXX
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.
I withdraw my consent (under s.10 of the DPA) for you to process my personal data with respect to my personal or work telephone numbers registered with you or stored on your systems/records. The processing and use of these numbers is causing significant distress.
Advice from The Consumer Credit Counselling Service and the Information Commissioner indicates that your retention of contact details in the form of a correspondence address is sufficient to fulfil contractual obligations.
This request supersedes any contractual provision that you may claim exists, and any attempt to claim otherwise will not be accepted or tolerated.
Under the DPA you have 21 days to respond to this request, and 28 days to cease processing and/or remove the data from your systems. Future use of my telephone number will be recorded and will indicate a breach of my request under the DPA, this will result in a complaint being raised with the Information Commissioner.
You will be deemed to have been served notice of my request and I will deem it served by *Enter date 23 days from date of letter*. I am advising you that any calls received after this date will be recorded with the intention of them being used as evidence.
Yours faithfully

My wife had her inheritance gifted from her father, £59k wich we hope to use on a house purchase next year.
Her father paid it in to our Natwest current account back in april 2010, however when my wifes card was declined for £20 when she went to put fuel in the car a few days later, after checking the online banking, all of her accounts were GONE!,
we panicked and called Natwest, they said it was Triton their internal fraud team, they then released the block on the accounts, or so they said!, next day at Iceland my wifes card was declined, bear in mind the balance was substantial and the shopping was only £80. again Triton had frozen the accounts.
It was our money and even though we faxed them proof of the transaction which they accepted, it has taken 3 months to get our money back from them.
To make matters worse someone at triton pushed the pay button twice and although we only recieved one payment, which they accept, my wife gets DAILY calls from triton demanding repayment of our debt!!! we never had a debt in the first place!! we also get letters warning of legal action!!, talk about stressful. Yesterday they suggested we just ignore any more letters, however they have tried to call again today on my wifes mobile, ITS SUNDAY, surely this is a case for the financial ombudsman...0 -
i would get in touch with the ombudsman....banks really are thick as s*it0

(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

Its about debt collectors chasing non existent debts.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

triton are a law of themselves, We could not pay it, our RBS visa, when we had to move our creditors to a dmp with payplan. They are very nasty, they would not listen, so do not respond, ask them to put things in writing, Our debt was £1300, we did a cca, it was so long ago, they could not find our credit agreement, Rbs, cancelled the debt.. I do believe they do not hold credit agreements, for a long time..

The details from a letter i received a couple of days ago (in relation to a Mint/RBS CC) are:
Triton Credit Services
PO Box 5827
Basildon
SS14 1XS
Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 0830 - 2100, Sat 0830 - 1300
BUT there is no phone number for them on the letter - they ask me to call RBS on 0800 031103 so I would assume this is an RBS number rather than Triton, but I haven't rung it so don't know for sure.
The footer on the letter states that Triton Credit Services is a trading name of RBS.LBM Feb 11 - Joint Debts of around £80,000 _pale_ And nothing significant to show for it :embarasse
Actual Debt at March 11: £79,269.65
Debt as at July 11: £82,483.16  Thanks to fees & charges! :mad:0
