Aww thanks Rinroo it's not a problem. All I would say about the rings is that they aren't really thick but for us that isn't a problem, it all depends on what you want. We are happy because we have saved so much on them, mine is 18ct white gold and everywhere else for that would have cost double what we paid. Just thought I would update what is left to do for the big day!!! It's not a great deal really, mostly all the large amounts to be paid, so not as much fun lol!
DJ - £150 to be paid on the day of the wedding
Registrar - £295 to be paid four weeks before the wedding
Cake - £255 to be paid before the wedding
Balloons - £50 but this will be less because we have decided we don't want
as many
Venue - £495 to be paid before the wedding but this amount will change as I am still waiting for the quote for food straight after the ceremony and H2B's parents are contributing, although not sure how much yet.
£400 - Photographer to be paid before the day
Favours to be bought, including the things to put them in - H2B's parents buying these
Two bridesmaid dresses - £50 buying next month
Bridesmiads necklaces - £20 buying next month
White shirt for H2B - Ebay
Placecards - to be made but I can't find a snowflake template suitable. I want to cut out a snowflake big enough to write a name on, which can have a bit of ribbon put through it to be tied round the bottom of wine glasses.
Make the table plan but I already have all the bits
Disposable cameras to be bought from Ebay - £20
Kids Smile boxes to buy
EEeek! Quite a bit of money to go out there, best get selling life and soul on Ebay lol!! We are still well within budget though, yay!!
If anyone knows of a good snowflake template please let me know, Tiger xxMarried the most amazing man 05/12/09 and it was the best day ever, I'm a Mrs, he he!!:jWins 2009: Peroni Alessi bowl woohoo, 1 in 10 wins DVD from Maltesers, Avon lippy!!!Freebies-Bold Gel, CoffeePinecone Research - £9Mystery Shopping - £150 -
Hi everyone, I have just had a brainwave about my bridesmaid's dresses but not sure so I would like some input please.
I am now thinking of having them in long black evening dresses instead of long burgundy dresses. I have bought the mens ties which are burgundy. If I change to black dresses do you still think they will look ok? I like the idea of having them in black, they will be able to use the dresses again and I will find it easier to get their dresses cheap. The whole wedding has a laid back theme and as we are getting married at 4.30pm I like the idea of it looking quite classy but not too traditional, hence them having different dresses but the same colour. Not to forget that the wedding is in December so will be very wintery. What do you think???
Tiger x
p.s. if anyone knows of any cheap black dresses let me know

I think that would look lovely, you could give them some sort of burgundy accessory or ribbon etc.
Sorry dont know of any cheap ones though! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -

HI GUys, sorry I haven't been around for awhile!
We went to a beautiful wedding in Sheffield a couple of weekends ago and it was the most relaxed do I have ever been to. It was the most perfect day apart from there was a barbecue on the evening which was a washout due to torrential rain!!
I have bought my bridesmaid dress. I am only having my sister now as my other friend hasn't been round for ages, haven't a clue what's going on there!!!
Anyway I have bought the dress from Ebay, (no surprises there lol), it is a Morgan dress and is absolutely perfect. Here's a link if anyone wants to see it

It hasn't arrived yet so hopefully it will fit ok!
Nat, if you are around I really hope you had a fanatstic day and it was everything you dreamed it would be, let me know how it went!

Thanks Linda, it has arrived and I absolutely adore it. Even the white bit that comes out at the bag has a small piece of net underneath to make it sit properly. My sis hasn't tried it on yet, she's coming tomorrow so will let you all know if it fits.
Instead of place names we are now having baubles with a bit of card attached with names on. I ordered the baubles from Ebay and they were £3.50 for a box of 48. I decided to just get red as they are the closest to our wedding colours and some are shiny and some are matt. I'm going to town today to buy tonnes of stick on diamantes to embellish them with, (I could be at it some time because I need 70 lol!). We are attatching the name tags with ribbon printed with our name the date of the wedding and a snowflake either side of the wording! The ribbon is silver, the card is ivory and the wording is black!
I'm also going to get on with making our wedding post box. I have found some card but just debating how to put some burgundy paper on so it looks neat!
We are also now having a doughnut wedding cake instead of the really expensive one, can't justify paying the woman £250 for a cake!! So I have priced up and the doughnuts will come to just under £20, the stand about £22 and a top tier fruit cake is £7 which I will put a few sugar crystals and some ribbon on!
The wedding is now around 16 weeks away OMG, that is no time at all lol!

Hey there, after looking at the finances, we have now decieded to scrap paying for the cake. Instead we are going to put an order in at Tesco two days before the wedding for 70 doughnuts! I will collect them on the morning of the wedding and then assemble it myself at the venue! I am going to buy a four/five tier acrylic stand from Ebay they are about £20. I am also going to get a medium fruit cake form tescos and put some ribbon and diamante trim on it myself.
Anyone with any suggestions on how to get the doughnuts to stay on the stand would be greatly appreciated!
I have found some cheap Jack Daniels miniatures at just miniatures and asI will be ordering more than 10 they will go down to £1.49 a bottle.
For the women we have found a lovely lady who makes things with beads and she is going to make me some little mobile phone charms which are just like angels. They have metal wings with a swarovski crystal head and tiara and a burgundy bead body. They really are cute and not tacky at all. Each ne will cost about £3 and that includes the little burgundy organza bag!
As an extra touch we have decided to tape a scratchcard under each seat and after the buffet the DJ will announce a table at a time and get them to scratch their cards! Hopefully someone will win!
I am still on with making my table plan, and I have made a wedding post box aswell. I am also making bauble place names, by sticking 6 diamantes on each bauble. The colours of the baubles are matt and shiny red. To secure the name tag we have got some ribbon printed with our names and the date of the wedding, which will go through the hook on the bauble and then through the card with the name on. I think I am going to secure them with a staple covered with a diamante. I will post pics when I have finished them!
We have done our gift list at Debenhams, which was really easy, plus we get £50 after the wedding if poeple buy from it. I must admit we felt a bit cheeky doing it, but everyone has embraced it and don't think we are cheeky at all!
So that's all for now, any comments greatly appreciated!
