HI everyone, my topper arrived and it is absolutely gorgeous. I love it and the fact that it cost a lot less than most toppers.

I ma going to the venue today to meet with the operations manager to finalise as many details as possible, such as the buffet menu, if I can have candles and timings. I'm really excited about going again I think I might try and take photos so I can picture things better when I am at home.

I have spoken to a friend of the family who has a balloon business and instead of £9 they are going to do a table balloon decoration for £4 each. I need 8 so that's not bad going really and I don't have to worry about buying helium canisters and things. She is going to do a burgundy, ivory and silver balloon on each one with silver ribbon and silver weights holding each one.

Hiya everyone, well tings are so exciting here at the moment! I am going to order my dress today from Landy, so long as my bridesmaid or H2B can do measurements tonight lol!!

I have found the most perfect shoes in New Look for the bridesmaids, they don't have them on the website so have had to put them behind and am going to town later to buy them. They are sequinned like mine, but have a full pointy toe and slingback, with a small kitten heel.

I ordered a wedding dress bag from Ebay for £2 as she had some for half price because they had a mark on the outside. Well to be honest that doesn't matter to me and I have saved £2 aswell, hoorah!!

I went to the venue yesterday to go through every single detail of the ceremony so here's the run down.

3.30pm Groom arrives at venue to see registrar, while guests are in the bar having drinks.
4.00pm Groom and guests go up to the ceremony room, while I ma brought down to see the registrar.
    4.30pm Ceremony
5.00pm Drinks and nibbles in the Hotel bar. I have opted for mini turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches, mini sausages wrapped in bacon, smoked salmon belinis and mince pies. The women are going to drink mulled wine and the men sparkling wine
7.00pm All go through to the reception room for a wonderful party lol!!
    7.45pm Cut the cake
    8.00pm Speeches
    8.30pm Buffet
After the buffet we will dance the night away and I am thinking of hiring a casino, although I am also trying to find a dj that does an hours karaoke aswell.
11.00pm Bacon butties to soak up some of the alcohol
    12.30pm Hometime lol!!

It's very odd to see it written down, but so exciting aswell. I am still waiting for the venue to give me quotes on the bacon butties and nibbles and drinks before the reception. Let me know what you all think, Tiger x

He is to an extent, as he's the artsy fartsy one amongst us.....but I think the additional incentive is the fact we're child free all weekend ;););)

I have just been up town and for anyone wanting battery operated fairy lights at their wedding, Poundland have parasol lights in for £1. I have just bought 5 sets as they are just like the ones that cost a fiver each, so have just saved a whopping £20, hoorah. They come with the clips for the parasol but they aren't attached so you can just use them in a vase or something, I think there are 10 bulbs on each one, but for my smal wedding that is more than enough.

Hi everyone, haven't posted here for awhile as things have quitened down on the wedding front for awhile.

I have posted this as a thread aswell but thought I would put it on here aswell. I have ordered my dress from freetimelife on Ebay, here's the link

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Stock-Bingbing-ivory-wedding-dress-Prom-Gown-Sz-8_W0QQitemZ170335393268QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Wedding_Clothing?hash=item27a8c7d5f4&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262&_trkparms=%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A3%7C294%3A30

I am so chuffed as it is only costing £70 with free p and p and is very like the other one I was going to order from Milly or Landy. So after taking a massive leap of faith I am now waiting for it to be delivered in about 20 days. Very very excited.

So this has now presented a problem, I have my fascinator but am not sure if it will still go with the dress. I have found a tiara comb for £4 which I think will go better.

The bridesmaids tiaras have arrived and they are gorgeous, link:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=170328407586

They are a lot nicer in the flesh and as soon as I find my bluetooth dongle I will post real pics of them.

Let me know what you think about the tiara instead of fascinator idea and what you think of my dress. Has anyone else ordered a dress from these lot?

Personally, I think the dress would look so much more elegant with a tiara rather than a fascinator. It also depends how you are going to wear your hair. if you opt for a full length veil you could slip this into your hair without the need for anything.

Not a brill piccy but. http://www.bridalfashionmall.com/weddingveils/v416.html

Linda that is exactly what I was thinking! I love the pic of that veil you might have changed my mind now about having one lol! Although the tiara comb I like will not attach to the veil so will the veil have a comb on or something? Do you have to have a veil over your face because I don't want that at all. Hmmm not sure now lol! Tiger x
