Wow! You certainly have your hands full then !! I'm surprised you find any time for yourself.......
They're definitely closer in age to my GDs than my children - it always amazes me that I have friends the same age (or a couple of years younger than me) who have children the same age as my grand-children
This includes my brother - he's 2.5yrs younger than me, but his elder son is 13 months younger than my elder GD, and his younger son is 13 months younger than my elder GD !! When you see the four of them together at family events it's easy to forget there's a generation gap between them :rolleyes2
We have this at our family gatherings also, my 2 boys are 14 & 10 but most of their cousins on DH side have children who are similar age or even older, their eldest second cousin is 23 and has 2 children of her own; so Dh (who is 45) has a nephew who is 44, his daughter (great niece) is 23 then her children (gr great niece & nephew) are 3 & 1.
There is definitely a generation gap. Dh's eldest niece is actually 18 months older than him.My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -

Afternoon All,
I can finally post again after months in limbo!!! Have been keeping up with you all as much as possible, but moving house, studying and starting a new job has meant that I haven't been logging on as much as I should! I've also fallen well and truly off the £4k per year wagon, so will be starting again 1st June and updating my sig to reflect this. Things have been difficult, a £14k drop in wages has been hard to deal with, but i adore my new job so it's something I have to get used to.
My allotment is about 1/2 planted now, so shouldn't be too long until we are reaping the benefits (everything crossed!) and i've just got to tighten my belt again.
Anyhoo, nice to see you all again, and thanks for the continued inspiration!

Nyk/lilo-Well I gave my class the change to collect cones and 2 bags were under my desk by lunchtime (bless them). Are all cones suitable, these are relatively small?
Will be packing bits tonight. Then tomorrow will be lots of cleaning...17 days to go.

Thank you for all the possitive thoughts and comments. I re-read my post and it is a bit muddled to say the least. I didn't even manage to say what the matter was. The scan showed that I am expecting triplets:D:eek::D:eek: and it's taking a bit of time to get used to the idea along with worrying that all is OK. That is why I was bigger for dates than expected. I don't know much more until I go back. I wont be having any diagnostic tests as what could I do if 2 were ok and 1 is not? Anywy, not sure I would want to do anything anyway. I was a special needs teacher in another life so I know what i'd be in for, well from a teacher point of view, I realise parents are there 24/7. What will be will be
frugal things
my mum has sorted some unpaked boxes, five bags/boxes for her to take to charity shop
rhubarb from garden
lettuce from garden (tub)
house things
nothing
sorry I have not read other posts today (well I did but none sank in) and I am needed in the real world
aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter0
