Pleased to see you posting SM after your ordeal
you may be able to claim back your hire car costs from the other persons insurance (assuming they were at fault ) along with any other out of pocket expenses
I did this when i had an accident in 2000 in Glasgow and had to get the train home as it was a bank holiday and the hire car places were shut ................also got 2K for my whiplash injury....which was genuine ..........and my travel costs paid when i had to testify against the lady who crashed into me.
Shaz - who is searching for car insurance on the web and amazed how much ishe can save and get cashback*****

patchwork_cat wrote: »EON It is a DD, the problem comes when you reasses at the start of the summer, but your staff were very inflexible. I put actual usage for the last 12 months into Uswitch and the figure that they gave was for the plan I am on, but you still wanted £16 more than that, despite my paying a large lump sum off. Your staff didn't seem to make any allowance for seasonal usage and were taking the figures used for the last 9 months, that I have been with you as continuing for the whole year, which obviously they won't.
Couple of things patchwork cat. Did the large sum you paid clear the debt in full?
If not, the remaining debt will have been included in your ongoing monthly payments.
Also, our aim is for your balance to be zero in spring following the winter months when most energy is used. We would expect you to build up a credit before the winter months in order to cover the higher usage over this period.
We review payments regularly and will adjust payments depending on if you are building up excess debt/credit on your account.
Hope this makes our policy a little clearer but if you are still unhappy with your Direct Debit give us a call. There are other payment arrangements available which you might feel more comfortable with.

Ahh Cheryl, but you didn't have Mrs (can't remember her name) dissect them again and again and give allsorts of hidden meaning to them! ( I wish I could remember her name) Not only did she dissect the books, but we learnt quite alot about Hardy as an individual and I didn't particularly like what I learnt. However she did instil a love of Philip Larkin. Did you have to do Lit even though you didn't take it, can't remember reading anything at school prior to O's. Did have to still study Geography in L5 and U5, I remember even though I didn't take it at O and then got a certificate from school at the end.( My partner was I remember Rachael Lowther who is now a renowned sculptor - I knew there was a reason I asked her to do all the drawings!)0

Didn't have to "do" lit at all - that was a subject I dropped after 3rd year of high school, and until then it was just part of 'English' in general.
Geography was one I took at 'O' level - but those who didn't do it didn't have to study itBut I finished just after the new headmistress came in, so I guess she changed things (I know she brought in IT after I left - but that was something I took at college the following year)

Bookmooch? is that like green metropolis? I tried to join Bookcrossing on Yahoo and never received a reply to my request. I am going to try and read more weighty tomes as I do have a tendency to not challenge myself! too often! I am reading Mutiny on the Bounty by John Boyne (striped pyjamas) readable so far. I like Ladies Detective Agency and Agatha Raisin books, but on the whole read chick lit chart rubbish, but every 3 or so I do try to challenge myself. Am and avid reader!
EDIT PipsMum don't do that! I have just done what I accused someone else of doing a couple of days ago and answering a question or statement no yet put!!! Thank you , my brother mentioned a few months ago he was reading it so he may have a copy ( or mine might be in the loft , now that would be a challenge) I wonder if I will get more out of it than I did at 18 whilst going out with an avid idealistic socialist!!0 -
I had to do The Mayor of Casterbridge for GCSE too, I have read a few of the 100 already but would like to try and read then again, not looking forward to War and Peace though:eek::eek::eek:
I have asked on Bookmooch for The Ragged trousered philanthropist so if I get it I can forward it on to you if you like Patchwork Cat?
I am very happy with myself :jI went into Mr Ms today with my mum and they had huge double punnets full of Strawbs reduced to 50p :j so I got 3 and I am going to make jam tomorrow. There must easily be 5lbs of strawberries for £1.50 :j
Would I be better adding some apple to them to bulk up the jam a bit?Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

Sorry dont know what happened there, it kept posting half the post or gobbledegook!
Bookmooch is where you list the books you are prepared to send to people, they then ask for it, you then post it to them. You can then look for a book you want, ask the person for it and they post it to you.
http://bookmooch.com/
Some people dont like it as you have to pay for the postage and dont earn anything but I like it as you can find unusual books and get them for free.

:eek: I'm really glad that you are both okay sophiesmum. It's an easy thing to happen, some mad fish pulled out in front of me last week when I was on the M74, I slammed the anchors on and swerved quite a bit, but no crashes thank goodness.
I was thinking of sophiesmum when I was in A$da tonight. My haul was, 2 packs of rolls, 8p, 2 packs of rolls, 9p and 18 bags of chopped up carrots 1p each. So, my total spend was 52p for all this stuff. The carrots are in the freezer now, so I can use them for soup etc. I can put them through my juicer as well and use the grated bits and the juice in the soups, put them into casseroles and maybe even make a carrot cake. The list is endless, we could do a 100 things to do with carrots list now.:rotfl:0
