I've not frozen yet. Must be the warm weather! Although it's still warm today, it looks dull outside.

I'm only up as i'm taping the Britney concert off of TV again for the umpteenth time. Otherwise i'd be where i'd normally be....in bed! I tend to spend about 12 hours a day/night there. I get tired so easily these days.

Anyway, I hope all are well and hope to speak soon, my PC dependant.

Good luck with your medical, Miro. Have you seen the benefitsandwork.co.uk website? It can give helpful hints and tips about these medicals. You have to pay £18 if you want full use of the website but you can still read some of the tips without paying too. I shall find it helpful when I next have an IB form to fill in and when I next have a medical.

Tiff, I signed that MIND petition but when I pressed the submit button it didn't submit!

    Hi miro!hello.gif
How are you feeling today, hun?
I was sorry to read about your pc playing up. Don't give up on it just yet angel. Why not post a thread to our lovely techies board? They're really kind and they even used idiot speak for me when I've had a question for them.angel-smiley-002.gif Knowing your pc is being temperamental, here's a direct link to their board:

I know you said that not a lot can be done with regards to your medical on Wednesday sweetheart, but I'm a stubborn ol' puss, so humour me, okay?wink.gif With such a very low energy, that itself can be a symptom of depression miro. I'm sure thinking and fighting your corner is the last thing you feel able to do right now. Nothing is written in stone hun, and it may go in your favour. And if it doesn't, we'll follow beth's route and we can challenge it.
Just a first thought on the matter hunnie, please don't try and put on a brave front at the medical - tell them honestly how you feel, how you are affected and what it stops you from doing and what meds you're on. No detail is unimportant and you've nothing to feel embarrassed about. I know this is hard to do, especially when we're very low, but that's just when we need to say these things. And you're not alone hun - you've got a whole thread here that's right behind you, ready to support you when you're at your weakest.action-smiley-033.gif
If you'd like me to have a look angel, I'm more than happy to try. If so, tell me which benefit you're on, any diagnosis that you have, what professionals you see and anything else you can think of, including how your ill health affects you day to day. If you feel it's too sensitive to post here, feel free to PM me.wink.gif

I don't know who that joker was who posted that he knew you but those of us who really know you, didn't fall for it. I guess they just had to have something to do with their day!rolleyes.gif It really is good to have you back miro - you don't seem to realise all the good things that you bring to this thread. Hang in there, angel.

    Hi beth!hello.gif
How are you hunnie? Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.
Firstly, I want to say well done and congratulations on winning your benefit tribunal!action-smiley-033.gif Didn't surprise me really because you had such a seemingly strong case, though we should never taken anything for granted in these situations. You did really well angel - I hope you feel really proud of yourself.sport-smiley-001.gif

I haven't tried that link again angel, but here's an alternative link for the campaign:

I'll change the link in my first post too. Feel free to shout at me if this link doesn't work either.wink.gif

I hope you've had a good holiday weekend and that you're now relaxing after all the stress and worry over your appeal. Having said that, someone needs to have a word with 'depression' because it doesn't seem to respect holidays.
    You look after yourself beth.sLo_hug2.gif

I've asked the techie board and they made some suggestions, but...what I have done, i've done myself and it's at least turning on now.

If I don't pass the medical, i'll have to challenge it. I just have no idea how and how long. By the time the appeal is heard, it may be too late :o

I won't be putting on a brave front. That will defeat the object of me being there. I'll be honest and say all that I feel. I don't take meds. I've tried them in the past and I just don't like taking anything i'm unsure about.

That's just one problem. I no longer have counselling as my local free MIND counselling ended as they lost funding. I have been offered 50 minutes sessions for £15 elsewhere, but if I lose my medical, I lose nearly 1/3 of my money and won't be able to afford it. So I have no support and no medication. It may explain why I spend 12 hours in bed and the other 12 indoors most days, only going out when I need shopping usually. I don't usually get up until midday, but on occasions I can't sleep, I get up earlier and go bed earlier, but usually in bed 12 hours a day and the other 12, I wish I was back in bed as i'm always tired.

General everyday things are difficult. Housekeeping is half baked. My general hygeine is okay as I don't like feeling dirty, but I don't shave too often, so am often a bearded fella these days. I tend to let my washing build up and then chuck a few loads in on days when I feel not so low. Cooking wise, it's simple........bung it in the oven. No preperation food, I just don't have the energy.

I don't go to my GP, even though I need too. Same with dentist and opticians. I even bought some clippers so I didn't need to go to barber shop anymore.

I'm half glad to be back. I'd sooner not be depressed though :o

Hope you are well Tiff and you've been fed your whiskas ;)
