Then had another depressing supermarket shop tonight- I hate this: I go shopping and for whatever reason, security guards just follow me around the store- pretending to shop with a basket (yet radio or uniform badge gives them away). Am thinking of changing supermarket or just shopping online (if it weren't for the delivery cost or risk of substitutions) it just really doesn't help, I feel fine until I try to shop then feel horrible leaving- I haven't even done anything wrong! It just really gets to me. Doesn't help when I already have mood/depression issues, guess its because it sort of brings things out that were already there, odd sort of guilt complex for somthing I have no idea about. Feel rubbish though, decided against calling the Samaritans as I think I need to learn to handle this but can't understand why it does not get any easier.
I have friends who are blind and have been followed around by security - because apparently, they don't "look blind" (whatever that may mean?) and because they obviously pick things up and look very closely at them, (magnifiers don't always help - especially for those of us where it's more complex than having poor vision) they look as though they're doing something they shouldn't be.Sealed pot challenge #232. Sorry i need a rant. Just had mother in law on the phone. I said that I probably need to potty train my 2 year old soon, as he's started taking his nappy off everytime he poos and sometimes when he wees. She said that I should leave his nappy off and if he wets himself I should tell him he is a dirty boy and good clean boys do their wees in a potty!! What a really horrid thing to do to a child. I don't want my little boy to feel he is 'dirty' and definitely don't want to put that extra pressure on him. Potty training is a hard enough skill for children to learn.
I don't know why I'm suprised tho, this is coming from the same woman who said it was a shame I was breastfeeding as she loves giving babies bottles!!! So what, I'm supposed to bottle feed just so my mother in law can feed the baby once every 2 months when she sees him!!! Grrrrrr.
She didn't pick the best night to do this. Just had a load of stress from the caterer who's doing the babies christening on Sunday. She wanted to bring the food at 10am, when we're not eating it until 1pm!! Luckily my husband sorted it out and got her to bring it at 12 instead.
Everything seems to be going wrong today, I've had enough of it all. Am going to bed and hopefully things will be better tomorrow!

This is digusting. Many parents will tell you (well, the ones I've come across on here) that you say nothing to the child, ignore it (because you don't want them to think that they've been naughty) and accept that children will have accidents.Sealed pot challenge #232. Thanks- glad I'm not alone though not so glad others have the same thing happen to them.
Am a bit scatty and uncoordinated especially at the end of the day, I do manage not to drop things most of the time, I read and reread calories on packets, ingredients, forget what I have read, reread....don't think I look that different to everyone else though maybe I do....I didn't think that would draw attention to myself but never thought anyone blind could ever look suspicious- how on earth can a security guard think someone pondering that bit longer over a product requires staring them out!
Either way I think I'll just switch supermarkets- it never seems to happen to me in other stores! Bit annoying though as they are mainly out of my way. Just gets me down after a while and feeling that low just because I ran clean out of apples and needed more is not my idea of fun!0 -

I'm so glad you said that, I panic all the time that I'm not a good mum, but I really do think that's a horrid thing to do and would never do it to my children. I'm glad I never leave her in sole charge of the boys if that's the way she would treat them!!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -

Thats awful! Of course you don't tell him he's a dirty boy! This can lead to him having a complete complex about it and being frightened to 'go' at all. Children can try to hang on to no.2's because they're worried you will tell them off and, of course, this can give them pains.
Ignore your MIL, you obviously are a good mum and know what you are doing. As someone else said, you ignore accidents and praise when he gets it right.0 -
Hello everyone, wishing you all well. Hope the sunshine has brought some good cheer. Not that it seems to stick around for long! Take Care xHere dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Hi All,
We had DS2's christening on Sunday, which caused me a lot of stress, I had 3 panic attacks in the morning. One of the godfathers broke his ankle and couldn't make it and the caterers turned up 40 mins late!! A load of the guests didn't turn up, some told us some didn't, so we had a buffet for 50 and only 38 people to eat it!! Lots of leftovers in my house. I did try to relax once the service got underway and it was lovely to see the people who really care and about my family there. Am glad it's done tho.
I had a horrible dream last night that an inspector came round my house and was going on about my cleaning telling me it wasn't on to have children in a house like this!! I get so paranoid about cleaning, but I don't have much energy left after seeing to the boys to do much in the way of housework. Just too much stuff to do and not enough time or energy to do it all.
House is still a tip from after the christening, loads of stuff everywhere, like boxes of food and presents. I will try and make an effort to clear it up a bit today. Not going out today, weather looks horrid.
Hope you are all well,
Flis xxSorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0
