Thanks everyone.
Moving out isn't really an option. I didn't like her reaction to be cutting, but I expected no more, so can't be disappointed. The cuts are fine. May take a while to heal, but they are clean etc.
I've not tried squeezing ice cubesNever thought about it
Is that a known technique?

Yes, it's a recommended technique. Apparently, you end up with a lot of the feelings/connections/release/pain that you do when using say, a razor to self harm, just without the risk of infection or the other longer term things.0

I'll have to remember that if their is a next time
And to put the knives in a cupboard beforehand

Start by filling an ice cube tray!
Summer's here. You'll find it useful for drinks if the sunshine helps your mood, and also useful if not.
Good luck.0 -
How's it going Miroslav?
Yesterday was a turning point for me - through the day I could feel my mood lifting almost by the minute and this morning I am feeling sooooo much better, I can't believe I am the same person.
Had a councelling session, and my counsellor wonders if my OH is also depressed, many of his symptoms (controlling what he can, lack of interest in his hobbies, irritability in bucket loads) seem to indicate it, added to that he's grieving for his Father with whom he had no contact for the past 10 years - he only found out the old man had died a year after the event, added to that, he found out he wasn't the hero my OH believed he was when he was 16Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
hello all and hugs.
same old same old and just trying to wade on regardless.
hows everything miroslav?
glad your happier raksha and hope it continues that way. would your oh see someone, maybe to get some councelling too?0 -
Had another argument last night, but didn't do anything to myself. Well apart from kick a few things, I didn't hurt myself.
The only good point was that she admitted she was in the wrong, for the first time ever. She says she's going to buy me lunch today....we'll see. Will feel strange as I don't let anyone buy me anything except for Birthdays/Christmas and then I tell people to spend pennies.
As the football manager, who watched his team suffer thrashing after thrashing said after only losing 0-5 - I think we're getting somewhere0 -
Miroslav
Good to hear you didn't sh. It's often hard to take people buying you things, i'm the same tbh but try to accept it for what it is. Just make sure you chose something extra tasty
