    afternoon all
miro - it's hard enough making phone calls at the best of times but when you're feeling low it's impossible. please don't give up though...keep ringing and putting it in writing is a good idea. i hope you have some luck. once you have made contact with the counsellor they'll be far more cooperative as they want to help.
shazrobo - i'm sorry you're in pain...i know the feeling unfortunately. i suffer from chronic migraine - i'm now on day 4 of a biggie and i am fed up to the max - i'm only 33 and feel 133...one day of no pain would be fab
whitevan- when do you get the results of your medical? sounds like a stressful thing to go through - and redundancy on top..keep posting here where your friends are...
    hugs to everyone....xxx

I hate these medicals and know how you must feel, WVW. Whenever I go I have to have my husband take me. I couldn't drive, park and get my head round the medical itself as well. It always takes place in a large town about 10 minutes away that Im not familiar with so the idea of driving around a one-way system and negotiating different lanes and roundabouts is too much to deal with on its own, never mind the medical too.

I am always in floods of tears at these things and I know what you mean about the tick boxes. Sometimes your answers don't fit any of the answers exactly do they? Good luck and I hope it goes the right way for you. I will take a look at that website you mentioned.

the esa medical sounds dreadful to have to go through, hope you get the results you wish for. in a way i am lucky that i am able to claim income support whilst my kids are under 16, so no hard interviews, just a work focused one every 4 months, where i just say my situation hasnt changed.
confused, (((big hugs))), pain is so hard to live with, and can add to feelings of depression.
i'm going to ring my gp surgery in the morning, and see if i can be seen by the doctor, as my joints are getting worse, and i've actually fallen today while out in public :o
    hugs

  • Afternoon all, been reading through everyone's posts. Congrats for all the good things and hugs for all the bad and in-between things, and I was sorry to hear about your cat Miro.

So it's been pretty busy my end for a while now, the ex oh thing is completely sorted now - or at least I hope so, he's tried to call once since but that's been it. Hoping that's all done with now as it was making me so ill.

Job wise still haven't gotten anywhere - but my new deal advisor is great, he's funny and helpful (and bloody good at what he does). Applying to be an activities co-ordinator at a care home this week - it's only part time but it would be nice to do a job that helps people.

Also finished my registration for the OU degree, first course starts in January and am looking forward to it. In the meantime there's the financial aid form to fill in, little stressful but will be worth it.

Health-wise some of my symptoms have become less severe of late, the OCD isn't manifesting itself as strongly as it was (Meaning I can switch off a tap without having to check it's off and check any other tap in the house), but have been having problems sleeping - guess that's down to the dark afternoons and evenings drawing in so fast. Stressed out of my mind about christmas, the shops are already beginning to fill up and I really don't like people touching me so it's going to be hard.

Been trying to force myself to eat regularly, which is going okay - though have noticed I've been losing weight - though that may be down to not spending weekends on the air base with the ex eating junk food because there was no real kitchen.

That's about it for me, hope that everyone's days get better and better. Would be nice to one day have us all with smiles like this :D -it's worth a try!

    Heya guys.

*hugs* to everyone who needs them.

Sam and I went into the city centre today via park and ride. There were too many people for my liking and I got really anxious. :(
I'm sure getting off at the wrong stop didn't help.:o We found where we wanted to be in the end though.
We went to the Primark as apparently it's a lot bigger than the one we usually go to but, to be honest, I prefer the one we usually go to, even though it's smaller. It's easier to find things.:rotfl:

I'm still feeling really exhausted so I'm going to book a doctors appointment soon.

It's also Sam and I's year anniversary this Sunday and his birthday next Sunday. Then that week I have my CPN and physio too.
So busy lately. Just want to sleep for a week.:rotfl:

Things still really bad at this end, still no sign of a job which is making me feel more depressed, at least while I was working it was taking my mind off things. Feel walked all over by friends too which isn't helping. It's my birthday tomorrow but I don't feel like celebrating or like I deserve anything. I feel as though I have hit rock bottom, I have no motivation and feel I am letting my husband down.
