There's a simple answer to all of this: if you don't get what you want, send it back. You have 7 days under the DSR, and 14 under Orange's own policy. If I don't get everything that's meant to go with the phone, I'll simply send it back and cancel the contract. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

But surely as a "clearance" phone and only being listed with a data cable you expect it to arrive with not much more don't you? I agree you can send it back but you know what you're getting before it arrives so why bother? Also even if it doesn't arrive with much its a brilliant phone for nothing.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

The blurb on the website is to cover their backs should they not have all the bits and bobs that go with the phone. A lot of the time, all the bits are there. My 6680 is a refurb and came with all the bits, even though the website said it possibly wouldn't have them. I'm willing to take the chance, as I can send it back should the bits not be there. The good thing about the DSR is that you can do exactly that - change your mind. The Orange cooling off period is even better because it gives you 14 days to change your mind.
You've got to remember that I plan to sell this phone on. It will be worth a whole lot less without the gubbins, as people will then have to go buy them.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Did you also have to buy a GPS receiver with the TomTom software in order to operate the phone as a satnav?
I have a Nokia 6630 and if I can use my phone as a satnav system with out having to buy a GPS receiver then that will be cool. Can somebody please confirm whether a GPS receiver is required for this?
thanks0 -
the whole point of SatNav is it uses Satellites for positioning so uses 'Global Positioning Satellite receivers' to obtain this info. Given that most mobiles struggle to get a signal when away from most populous areas the chances of it being able to receive signals from orbit without a receiver is...slim0

It depends on where you get TomTom Mobile 5 from. If you buy it from a shop or likewise, it will come with a TomTom GPS receiver. If you don't, you'll have to buy a separate GPS receiver.
I picked a BT77 off Ebay for £43 inclusive. Works really well with my 6680. I also bought a 512mb DV RS MMC card (the memory card) to replace the 64mb one that came with the phone, as you need a bigger memory card for TomTom Mobile 5. I'm not using my Garmin anymore now.
This one's like the one I bought (not same seller, though). In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
