Insurance company are NOT going to pay out on the claim for broken boiler............£2900
Apparantly we didnt follow the correct procedure of gaining 3 estimates and they are not convinced that the whole damage was due to the water leak as the boiler was so old.
So thats that. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Mr Barclaycard...'we get about 2000 letters a week asking for CCA etc'
Pepe...'dont you think that a letter saying ''you have sent me someone elses full details and I'm going to have to report you to the ICO under the Data Protection Act'' would go to the top of the urgent pile!'
Mr Barclaycard...'um, yes, I suppose so, can I investigate this further nd get back to you?'
Pepe...'Yes of course, I'm not unreasonable! You have 48 hours to confirm that you have stopped charging interest, apologise to me and the other customer and confirm once and for all the existence/non-existence of the CCA!'
Pi**ock!
:rotfl:Love it - go Pepe!

So thats that.
Then they should allow you to get further estimates ( or has it been fixed already? ). If that was a reason, then they should have advised you BEFORE you got the work done.
Why cant they pay out a reduced sum due to wear and tear?
Dont give up.:D stay wonky
