I blame the parents. If someone came round and told me that I would have a chat with the kids and I would ground them if it happened again

I would try speaking to the parents but if no joy then try the police. Used to have the same problem with kids in gardens/ car park of my old flat but I think they eventually got fed up of me screaming like a banshee at them :rotfl:

i would tell them in a nice way... "look lads, if you divn't mind not walkin on wur grass, like. cause it's upsetting the missus, and she's worried about the little lad like." (do you like my lenny impression?!) You've a good way with folks lenny, i know you could probably spark up a friendly banter conversation with them, get them onside as opposed to at loggerheads over an ickle bit of grass....

Or tell them you've just laid new grass seed and you want it to have a chance..... banter as above!

Or dig it up so it's only mud... people in kappa trainers will not walk across mud...........

Or get a fence, in which case the little man can get out to play safely.... and noone would think anything of it....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
