Jolly good - DFM - I Have lived in over 30 homes - therefore have moved alot - clingfilm is also your friend I use it to wrap up anything that can be damaged or scratched and often to seal boxes of to bundle things up instead of boxing them up - paintings etc are very good to be clingfilmed, sofas, dressers etc - my family call it my shirk wrap system.
We also never wrap up plates and dishes etc in newspaper - use socks, teatowels, anything at all cloth as it keeps it safe and you don't have the horrilbe paper stuff to wash off and you also get 2 for 1 - ie all tea towels and cups in the same box as the crockery.
(I am not in trouble with the law honest - dad was in the army and I have inherited wanderlust)
Cleosmum - often the covers get old and torn or damaged - the frames stay intact so they sell the covers seperately
- but yeah be careful!! Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Didnt think of that! £3.99 for a new cover is much better than shelling out another £14.99!0

Hi all,
I am sorry I am a bit distracted but my car broke down this evening and the RAC mechanic said that it has had it. It was only couple of months ago when I paid a fortune for ordering new key for my car from France and while waiting for it to arrive paid even bigger fortune for hire car. I simply can't manage without a car. Luckily neighbour of DD's nursery (that is where I broke down) is mechanic and has promised to give me a quote of how much it would cost to resurrect it. Here hopes.
So I am now off to feel a bit sorry for myself and then I need to figure out the logistics for tomorrow. The distances are not great but they are so ackward. Had to cancel my dog walking for tomorrow as no way I can drag my 15 year old dog all the way there and then try to get to nursery with her in time to pick up DD, might be impossible timewise even by myself.
Funny side is that bailiffs where threatening on Friday to take my car, perhaps I should let them..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
