How to get the best discount from CD-WOW!

With the SmartSave code that I was moaning about yesterday, you were able to get 20% off CDs which made CD WOW fractionally cheaper than most of their competitors, particularly if, like me, you like buying compilations. However, now that the 20% code has been secured for only legitimate use it's cheaper to buy those elsewhere, Blah DVD is often £10.99 compared with CD WOW's £12.99. Hope someone from CD WOW takes note!

The smartsave link doesn't work anymore even if you have a smartsave card!

It stopped working Friday. It's happened to me before, but when I made enquiries why it wasn't working it was reinstated. Smartsave's website says that all offers are valid until December 2006. I've emailed them and told them that CD WOW have discontinued it. Guess I will have to wait and see what happens.

I e-mailed Smartsave and they stated:

We are currently investigating this matter with CD-WOW. We shall contact you again once we have an outcome.

I have also e-mailed CDWow's customer service department to see what they say. I hope they haven't discontinued it, it's the only way I can afford to fund my DVD habit!

I am waiting to see now what Smartsave themselves actually have to say about this. What bad timing if this is true, what with Christmas just round the corner, I would have spent a small fortune with CDWow if this promotion was still on.

I know you can't use the standard email discount vouchers with discount links (like everyhing 1 pound offetc)

But can you use the ones they send you in the post with orders - with the discount links ? I've heard you can - can anyone verify please ?
