Just wanted to bump up this thread, and also add that with the 20% off Smartsave card you can also still use e-vouchers!
I've now bought lots of new cd's at £6 each and each time my double discounts been accepted :j

It depends on what you are buying and whether Cd-wow make a profit from it.

I have had many orders with double discounts cancelled. And a lucky one or two slip through.

But from reading around, the general opinion seems to be that cd-wow only let through offers if they make a profit from it.

Many thanks for the OP. Had the Sims Nightlife PC game for £10.99 using the £2 direct link off and then a £1 code, and The Pacifier DVD for £11.99 using the £1 direct link plus £1 code. The kids will be pleased.
  • Every CDWow purchase I've made in the last 3 weeks with multiple discounts / links have been cancelled so i hope you get yours through .

as people have had troubles getting the 20% discount link to work on dvd's you can buy a voucher for cdwow worth £20 for £16.80

I think you maybe able to use the discount codes off this as well - just tried one and it took off £1 - saying free delivery total amount £15.80
  • Annoyingly, I had both CD-Wow gift "vouchers" and some £1 off discount "codes." I was only able to use one or the other on a recent order.

However there is a different site which is often cheaper: BangCD. They sell many chart CD's for am amazing £6.99 including delivery. In some respects their site does look strangely similar to CD-Wow, but they are based in Singapore. They also don't appear to be using discount vouchers, codes or affiliate links - yet!

The customer service seems good too - I ordered a CD on the day of its release, and wondered why they hadn't sent it (you can track the status of your order on their site). When I emailed them I got a prompt reply saying that they were still waiting for stock to arrive - and they gave me a date that they expected to send the CD. Despite this, it still arrived a week after I placed the order.

My only gripe is that they don't take Amex (yet) so I can't use my Amex Platinum cashback card there!
  • Has anyone got any currently working links with £2 off a game? The ones I've tried are just bringing up the normal prices on the website. I'm after Sims Nightlife and the best I can do so far is £13.49, using a 50p voucher I had emailed to me

    Cheers! :)
