Triker.... hope all goes well. Sending ~~~~~~~'discomfort/embarrasment free removal' !!!

    Morning All

Thanks for the bedroom today Pigpen. It needs it!

Got my ADHD group today. One or two Mummies in there that could do with a little medication themselves methinks! ;) Still, it's the last one today, and it's been very useful. So I won't be around till later.
My friend phoned last night, so while we were talking, i was pottering around clearing up the LR, and having a go at the DR table gigantic hotspot. It's more of a minor mess now, so that'll get finished up later. :D

    See you all later

    Hi,

I'd like to join please, I'm supposed to put a christmas tree here so you know I'm new, but not sure how to do that, sorry!
Not sure if i'm going to be able to keep up, but will try. Since having my baby housework has gone completely out of the window, now I'm back at work I need to get some organisation in my life or the house could sink under the weight of unwashed dishes!

    good morning all!

Squidgy hugs to all who need them.

Glad that some flyladies have had some good news too!!!

On a flying note - am off the Asda to see if i can find some stardrops and head down to my mums. Cleaned her kitchen yesterday, and oh I missed my stardrops :D

Not sure I will do her bedroom today, but they had a new bathroom fitted and there are lots of other decorating jobs etc going on, so plenty of general decluttering and cleaning I can help her with.

Toots - I am planning to head home again tomorrow, if you would like to meet up tomorrow, let me know and i will cup make you that cup of tea :D

    Love'n'hugs to all xxx

Kazwookie - If it makes you feel any better I burnt rice to the bottom of a pan tonight…why oh why can I not cook rice?? I should just give up & get it from the takeaway shop!

Sorry if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs, but I used to have loads of trouble cooking rice (usually it'd end up sticky) but since reading one of my cook books, I've been able to get it perfect every time. This is the method I use:

Allow 1/2 small cup for each person. Bring a large pan of water to the boil (no need to measure - just fill it completely), put in the rice (no washing it first), stir it, and keep the pan on a rolling boil for 10-15 minutes. Drain in a colander whilst rinsing with warm running water, and then you should have lovely fluffy rice. Another thing that my Dad does (but I don't) is to put it in an ovenproof dish after cooking, stir through a knob of butter, and dry out a bit more in a warm oven for about 5 minutes.

Anyway, I'm off topic, so who would like to join me for a HHC in a couple of minutes?
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
