L-L - I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and I have a candle burning for your brother. I lost my brother suddenly nearly 5 years ago - it is heartbreaking. Take care of yourself - huge hugs x

It's not, actually, the end of the world because the forum is down for a bit.

I'm off now, see you next weekend, I'm going to watch these silly people moaning on Swiss Family Robinson - can't they just enjoy it and not keep moaning? DH is so jealous of them, he would have loads of fun if he was there!
    Have fun.....

We are all fine. I've given it a while to settle and have spoken to the littlies about it and assured them we both still love them the same as they still love us both and that dad will come see them etc.

I have to speak to him about money and access and time off for me because at present I'm getting none.

Money etc is all sorted apart from I need to reapply for tax credits.. I have done a DLA claim for Moomin so hopefully I'll get enough through that to cover childcare once at uni.. and I'll be looking into other bits I can tap into as well.

Sounds like you need an aupair... or two ;) I did this both in germany (hated it so I came home) and in the UK where I looked after a family of 4 children, pregnant mother, dad, two dogs, three cats and a couple of rabbits. You can usually get them to help for the equivalent of half a day and 3 evenings 6 days a week for board, lodging and either language classes paid for (foreign students) or beer money (UK students). It might be worth looking into... you need to be clear what you expect them to do (e.g. get breakfast ready, smallest children dressed & fed, clear breakfast, laundry for littlies, babysitting after school/your college evenings, cleaning littlies rooms and bathroom as well as their own room). And when you're being nasty mummy they've got someone else to whine at :p

Have caught up with the thread - oh, and did I mention it's the holidays :D:D:D Easter egg hunt was good fun and the children were convinced the Easter Bunny had been whilst they were in assembly!

    83rachel - hugs; hope you're feeling better

L-L - sorry you can't make it but you are being very sensible. I'm sure we'll all meet up again soon.

Abbie - congratulations; and enjoy the party!

Hope everyone who is going away has a fantastic time and everyone else has a great weekend.

See some of you tomorrow :D

Oh, and I've had 3 friends requests on facebook, which I assume are from you lot, but I don't know who you are and am reluctant to add 'unknown' names. Can anyone help?

LL i can only say i am so sorry for your loss.
    I have a poem
    God saw the rugged pathway
    Was getting hard to Climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
    And whispered peace be thine.

Ah right Jay Jay - BTW my school is saving the Times Books for Schools vouchers if no-one else is having yours I would be so grateful...
I just said that as a way to point out what name they have on them...sadly I don't have time to read a daily paper - not even the Sun but buy the local once a week and the Express on Sundays and that's all I have time for - sad isn't it! Actually I think it's anothe S.W. can't remember ...

Have a good weekend all...lots of flying to do! No thread to distract!

Pigpen did you know that you can get child benefit weekly if you're on your tod AND it's dead easy to arrange online - I did mine like that - no proof actually needed (they probably check up by some devious method...)
And check about free schoolmeals too (Local council for that one)

off to collect DS from Gfs now...gosh HOW long have they been together? he doesn't take after his mum LOL

No that's not true - I put up with a lot and didn't run at the first sign...but sometimes you have to draw a line under things and move on.

So sorry to hear you news LL - hugs for you and your family

If anyone has any healing vibes left you may remember me saying my auntie had got to have a double masectomy in a couple of weeks - well she's been into surgery this evening - I haven't heard whether she's out yet - she's also having her lymph glands removed on one side - so lots of healing vibes please.

I'll catch you all over the weekend on either facebook or yahoo

    Hugs to all
