These are expensive tiles, why not put then on with easily removable adhesive?

What sort of adhesive would that be and would it make them more likely to fall off due to condensation?

I would mix the tile adhesive with polly-filler to the right bond. Never worry about condensation, it's irrelevant.

We had tiles falling off in our previous bathroom due to a combination of condesation, wrong plaster used and poor grouting according to the person who redid our whole bathroom. We used to have to reattach them quite frequently in one area:o

I wouldn't tile a room with poor condensation, that's your problem. sort of silly really.

But it's a bathroom where we shower and bath and despite an extractor fan and decent heating and opening windows condensation is unavoidable.
