Why not make the whole shower area mosaic, instead of a strip? Once you put mosaics into strips you need more mosaics to make the whole room look right, like what you're thinking of doing over the sink. If you can get mosaic altro flooring, use it on the floor and the shower area or wall. (safe a bit of money that route)
If your shower is on a corner, mosaic that corner and the shower base. Remember, with a wet-room you aren't necessarily limited by the shower area and tray, you can tile walls, blocks etc.
If your shower is on the small wall (assuming your room is rectangular), mosaic the whole wall.0 -
the room is nearly square.there is no base to shower, its flat with grid in floor. shower will be near the end of a 8ft wall. then you got back wall about 7ft. then right hand wall thats guna have special radiator for disabled? then wall hug sink then toilet. above these is window about 6ft off floor. around 4ft wide by 2ft drop. the door take up nearly all the wall you walk in, with around 2ft on right. hope that makes sense. if i knew how to put pic on here i would.0

Pic/pics would be the best option saffiedale, other wise the only help we can give is general stuff.
If you have your pics already on the computer host them on this site and copy the link it provides. Then press the image button on this site, remove the 'http' which is already there and paste your link. bingo!0 -
saffiedale, if you can get your pictures uploaded onto that site I linked, but can't get them on here. Just give me the http:// (the web address of your pictures) and i'll do the rest for you:D0

mines white tiles with mosaic border too... oops! Anyway, we thought if we went with the trends it would just look really dated when we finally come to sell. Interesting to see what everyone else is up to!fran-o0

I bought my tiles from a small independent company. They were a husband and wife team and seemed very clued up on the best patterns for laying tiles in different spaces etc and how to mix and match. Also for a small business they had transformed their top floor about 12 different bathroom looks. Some very on trend, some classic and some quite personal. They were taking tiles from show room and showing how they looked if you exchanged them around. They also complied with my request to turn out shop lights so I could see the colour in natural/poor light.
They also gave us discount (15%), full credit for returns and next day delivery. He was also cheaper in the first place for quality tiles.
Find a tiler that's recommended and ask him if you can see any examples of his work and who he recommends for tiles. Our tiler showed us his own house and pointed us in the direction of this tile company.
Next best place I liked for range of tiles was Wickes and were my second choice.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I'd stick to the border with the brickwork pattern everywhere else - are we talking about tiles all the same colour here? I will allow you a border if it's the same type of tile as the rest of the wall, just different sizes :rotfl:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
