I got for us the Regatta waterproofs, from EBay, they are quite good value, the jacket and the trousers are good.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

As a chair/scooter user I'd agree that waterproof trousers and coat will work perfectly well in most conditions. However... if you have to spend a long time in the rain or get caught in a torrential downpour they can leave you sitting in a puddle. I have a cheapy 'disposable' cape which folds down really small (cost about 1.50) just in case.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

I've decided to start reading my electricity & gas meters every Sunday night. Only just started doing it two weeks ago as Npower put our montly payments up by a lot (they have done this before then just have to reduce it again as their inflated prices just make me get stingier....they just can't seem to get the amount right & I suspect are just making sure their own bank accounts are nicely flush!!) Anyway, I thought I'd take the readings, write them down, plus how many units we have used that week. I'm hoping that this will help me track any big increases, such as when the heating goes on, weeks with lots of baths/washing, is it better when we use timers, etc, and provide extra incentive to keep useage down to a minimum.....and proof that my partner needs to have shorter baths so he doesn't have to keep topping them up with more hot water!!2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever
2) To read 100 books (36/100) 3) The Shrinking of Foxgloves 5.9kg/30kg

I do this foxgloves and I register them on 'imeasure' every Monday morning. This is an Oxford uni experiment. The site will compare your usage to other people and houses and give you an estimate of what you have spent. The graph is easy to follow and I find it encourages me to try to cut back and beat the previous week's total.0

Reading your meters does make you more concious of everything you use. I started doing it last year and our bills have dropped by quite a lot simply because I refuse to give the utility companies my money unless I have to. We now use throws, turn off the ocmputer everytime we're not actually sitting there etc which we didnt bother about before. We've all become too complacent. I even shower at the gym now(low membership) to save on our electricity and make my partner spend less time in the bathroom as he's worse than any woman :rotfl:0 -
I like your style p00
I have to stay out in a hotel about once a week (work) so I have a half hour shower, have a face pack etc.
Then at home I have short ones  I only use the bath on a Sunday night...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

i would love one of these - oh is not disabled but does spend a lot of time lying on the bed and i personally like upstairs to be a bit cooler so i sleep better. i have seen that there are ones with dual controls which would be ideal but they are so expensive!
can anyone recommend one for a kingsize bed?
many thanks,

Have you looked at two single ones? It may be cheaper to buy two single ones than one king sized one.0
