Ok Im with you, but I did report in that the car was dead and there was no power anywhere. They started it up and then the brake problem became apparent. But at no point did anyone SAY to me that I would be charged for the 2nd call out. Of course it may have been in the small print in the paperwork that I signed but hey it was dark :D

You could try writing to them and saying that you were not informed of the 2nd call out fee, they may waive the charge out of goodwill!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

But it WASN'T a second call out. Your car simply had 2 issues at the same time.

Did they get you running, then leave and come back? Even if they did, I'm with them and am not aware of a call out limit

The fact you had 2 problems at the same time is not your fault. The fact you only reported one of the symptoms of those problems is not your fault. You are not a car expert and they can not expect you to be. Their duty is to arrive at your non-functioning car and to either make it function or to take it somewhere nearby who can make it function. If they want to say there was a second call-out, then that means they ended the first call out with your car in an unroadworthy condition. That's not what you pay them for - you want compensation for that.

  • Lenny I guess the person that first arrived didnt turn up in a truck that can tow? So therfore its not your fault the recovery agent doesnt have enough trucks to full fill its calls.

    *limps in*

I ran 10k! :j (well, not :j, cos I couldn't jump if you paid me to right now, but still :D:D)

According to my iPod, I did 10.1km in 1hr 11mins and 46 seconds, so 7.05 mins per km. Wish I'd set it to tell me in miles per hour lol.

*limps off to find calculator......and brain*

Oh! And I'm sure I was overtaken by Becky - or at least someone who looked very much like her. Must remember to ask where she ran today!
