I have been a member of Valued Opinions (UK Version) for over a year and have only had £10 pay out so far. This is despite me doing lots of surveys for them. The most annoying thing with them is that they screen you out, often after you have done half their survey. The message that appears is that they have reached the maximum number of responses for this survey!!!!!! I mean surely they should know whether they have had enough responses for a particular survey at the start, without having to ask 30 marketing questions.

Personally I think it's a scam where they try to get as much out of you as possible.

Another issue is that once you complete a survey your money is in a pending list. It's not been 6 weeks I have been waiting for my credit to be added but they seem to be sitting on it.

nce I collect the next £10 I won't be doing any more surveys for these unscrupulous cons.

They do pay up but yes, admittedly they have gotten worse over the years, I hear others get massive £10+ survey group things- never happens to me, but its not all good, most of them seem to almost need to beg for their payment as it takes them a long time to pay it to their account. Not sure if I'm better off or not tbh!

Still a good one to keep if you have the time and don't get irritated with the screen out questions on repeat. I only seem to qualify for about 1 a week yet get sent anywhere from 1-3 a day.

Consumer pulse is a good one , you just input your shopping once a week. Shopping being any clothes or kids stuff you have bought. You get points everytime you input , but even if you haven't bought anything , they still want to know. Takes about 10 minutes once a week. The points add up very quickly and you swop them for vouchers.:T

    jenni,
The problem is there is no way of telling when you are going to be screened out at Valued Opinions. Often you are screened out right in the middle of a survey. Yesterday I was answering questions about sports drinks which was supposed to be a half hour survey. I must have gone through a good 10 minutes of it at least and answered around 20 questions about what I like to drink and what I buy etc etc. Suddenly bang, I was screened out with a message saying they have reached their desired number of responses!!!!!

It doesn't make any sense at all. At least sites like ipsos screen you out after a few questions and give you some credit for your time.

I just think valued opinions is a scam run by unscrupulous crooks.

On another more general topic, come to think of all these online surveys, the awards aren't good at all. You wouldn't normally do any job that paid you so little in an hour. I mean what is the average pay? £1 for half hour? That's far less than minimum wage. Not good.

Good luck with that- generally they send about 1 or 2 surveys a month, (sometimes if your lucky) each lasting around 5 mins. I don't think you need to give up your party nights just yet!:rotfl:
  • HAVE SPENT 4 + HOURS ON VALUED OPINIONS BEING PAID ONLY TWICE!!

ONCE COMPLETED 91%, 25 MINUTES ONLY TO BE TOLD i DIDN'T QUALIFY TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY.

    IF THAT ISN'T A SCAM.....WHAT IS?!!

STICK TO YOUGOV. PROFFESSIONAL AND HONEST AT LEAST AND MONEY EARNED ALTHOUGH, LESS PER SURVEY = MORE, B/C THEY PAY YOU FOR EVERY SURVEY THEY ASK YOU TO COMPLETE.

Give VALUED OPINIONS a wide berth...........

I have been using Valued opinions and I am getting really fed up with it. I just spent about 10 minutes answering questions on nappies, I literally did about 20 questions before it said it had reached it's target number of recipients and didn't need me. this is not the first time this has happened and I did complain to them and got no-where.
Seems like a complete scam to me, can't actually remember the last time I completed a survey for them properly.

I've given up on all of them now. A lot of them are husge multi-national companies and people who compete their surveys are their bread and butter. However, the peanuts that they pay are nothing compared to what they are paid by their clients. In a lot of cases people give up doing surveys before they have been paid one penny.

So yes, I think that online surveys are a complete rip off

Chillers, your experience is very common. I have had the exact same treatment many times.
All we can do is expose their dishonest practice through sites like this so at least other people know about it.
