BEWARE OF CIAO SURVEYS's SPECIAL SURVEYS.
Hi, I'm having a really frustrating experience with ciao surveys / greenfield online.
I have a survey of 75 minutes (interactive survey) on 19th november 2009 and I was told I will get the payment in 4 weeks. The email which had the link for special survey had a help email reference.
It's more than 2 months now and I have not received any incentive. I've been chasing their customer service. The worst part is - they dont respond!
I've never seen any customer oriented company ignoring a customer like that. How can someone not respond to a help query!!
Any help as to how to chase my inventive, would be great.

Thats really unfortunate to hear, it for similar reasons I left Ciao, they just screened me out after taking all my info and never paid what I was due.
Customer Service for Ciao is rubbish to put it mildly, sometimes they reply within a week, other times you get an email 3 months later answering a query which was so long ago you have forgotten what is was about, other times they just don't reply at all.
I'd say keep on sending emails, when ToLuna didn't reply to my emails I went and sent them emails every week for a while, then switched to every day...just more then anything else to give them more admin and clog up their inbixes, by then I had written off ever having the problems solved but some times things were resolved.
I never did try the same with Ciao, I just took the money and ran! But could be worth a try? see it as stress relief and hassel all that you want, its not good karma I know but I'd say return the same ignorant vibe your getting from them, if nothing else you'll know that you've tried!
Hope you do get somewhere with it though.0 -
I have been a member of a few survey sites for about 6 months and I can say they are not a scam if you are patient. Here is a little review on each of the ones I have joined.
Onepoll
In 6 months I have had no payours and have £7.30 in my account. It would be possible to get a lot more if i actually remembered to go on every day. The don't send you emails so you need to check yourself. I would say realisticcally you could make 10-30p a day if you are dedicated
Valued Opinion
I have had 1 payout of £10 tesco vouchers and £2.50 in my account. I used to get screened out almost all the time by this company but nowadays I seem to be allowed to complete a lot more.
Lightspeed
Payout of £16 into paypal and about £1.50 in my account. Small thresh-hold (now £3) but I do get screened out a lot but I am sent a lot of surveys, around one or two per day.
Global Testmarket
Payout of $50 USD sent by cheque in GPB. Currently my highest paying survey site, they send a lot of surveys but don't give you many points per survey, sometimes they give you 5 points or so if you get screened out though.
YouGov
I quit this site after about 5 months after having earned only £3.75. It was a waste of time. Thresh-hold is £50 and surveys are very infrequent.
Myvoice
No payout but account has about £9. These surveys tend to be shorter with low points but relatively frequent.
HiPoll
No payout but £20 in my account. Send quite frequent surveys but you can't be screened out. They ask you the same questions every time which gets repetative but at least you can do them quickly. Depending on your answers you get asked a varying amount of questions. At the end they either give you 30p £1 or £3 depending on how many questions you qualified for.
PineCone
I have had £18 in my paypal account from this site and I love it. They never screen you out but surveys are relatively infrequent, each one pays £3 straight into paypal or you receive a luncheon voucher booklet in a week or so depending on how you opted to be payed. Finding this banner is a godsend since that is the only way you can join.

Great share, thanks for that information.
While I was looking for any way to make money online, a friend of mine told me about paid surveys.I tried that and I can tell that this is one of the fastest and easiest for people to star making money online. The good thing is that you don't need any skills and you can start today. Most of the sites want you to pay them for registration, but I found one absolutely free site.I personally make more than $3000/month from this site. Here is it: http:// NationalOnlineSurveys .info0 -
OnePoll seem to never have any surveys to build up payout anymore, but seem to have a bulkload of iPod nanos for prize draws that I never win.
Pinecone - are very quick sending out luncheon vouchers in response to surveys - which I give to oh to spend on lunches in town while at work. Have also had stuff to test from them - and it was chocolate as well... so was a very happy girlie!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
It can be worth logging into your account from time to time to see if there are any surveys which haven't been notified to you. I've been doing that today and found a couple which I've completed. I like Valued Opinions as the money builds up fairly quickly. I used to get Argos vouchers from them but have now switched to Tesco ones as they are so versatile.
Incidentally, though I'm a senior citizen I still seem to qualify for at least 40% of the surveys I get.0 -
Got a classic from Ciao last week:
I left Ciao as a result of the surveys I was getting screened out of after about 30 mins or worse, completing and then having the screen saying "no cache" which apparently is due to cookies or lack of (funnily enough has not affect any of the other surveys or sites I am on and I spend ALOT of time online.)
The reply from Ciao was in relation to this saying basicly I had too many problems and had no reply from them for help so was leaving. I kid you not it has taken them nearly 12 months to reply!
What a waste of time!0 -
I have been a member of Valued Opinions (UK Version) for over a year and have only had £10 pay out so far. This is despite me doing lots of surveys for them. The most annoying thing with them is that they screen you out, often after you have done half their survey. The message that appears is that they have reached the maximum number of responses for this survey!!!!!! I mean surely they should know whether they have had enough responses for a particular survey at the start, without having to ask 30 marketing questions.
Personally I think it's a scam where they try to get as much out of you as possible.
Another issue is that once you complete a survey your money is in a pending list. It's not been 6 weeks I have been waiting for my credit to be added but they seem to be sitting on it.
nce I collect the next £10 I won't be doing any more surveys for these unscrupulous cons.0
