I joined yougov.co.uk about 2 weeks ago. I got £1 for signing up and so far have completed 3 surveys for 50p each, so it's never gonna make me rich.. but every little helps.

I have been reading testimonials from people using an online survey site with interest

However, I am reluctant to pay the registration fee to find out if it's scam or genuine.

Has anyone else got experience of paid onlline surveys?

    Thanks in advance
I use https://www.mytns.com which you can earn nectar points with by completing their surveys and I didn't need to hand over any cash.
If saved £2710 and only spent the interest (Based on a return of 5%), you would have enough money to pay your TV Licence every year. Saving you £7452.50 over a period of 55 years, based on you buying a license from the age of 20 until your 75 at a cost of £135.50.

I've been with YouGov for just over 3 years and have had one cheque for £50 and have almost £25 in my account at the moment.

I'm also with Pinecone and have had quite a few luncheon voucher books.

With Ciao too and had a cheque for £20+ , but also hate the answer 20 questions and then told you're not eligible business icon8.gif

As others have said , you're never going to make much money on them , but if you enjoy doing them it's worth it.

I do juicybrains and TNS as I collect nectar vouchers I like TNS as they pay you in nectar points, did a one week diary last week and got 2000 points (£10)

Just signing up for YouGov after reading a post and also looks good.

I have just signed up foy You Gov - cheers
  • I can recommend the following, however remember that the payout is quite slow

    https://www.ciao.co.uk - received payment from
testandvote - still working towards minimum credit

As mentioned above it can take a while to reach the minimum payout, so a little everyday soon adds up. The other thing to look at is click reward sites, mutualpoints.com; rpoints and sweetcollect (this one pays in sweets!)

    Test&Vote for 40,000 points gives a £10 amazon voucher

I am at 30,000 points or so since end of Oct 05

I got however for the first time a product to test delivered at home.

    Can recommend:

    Valued Opinions
    - am 50 pounds better in Boots/Tesco vouchers since last June, average one 5 voucher per month, fast payments (2 weeks)

    Ciao
    - 17 quids since last Sept., they pay once a month

    Test & Vote
    - 125 quids since last Oct. (incl. 50 as a cash in hand for 1 hour meeting in Central London), Amazon codes

    GlobalTestMarket
    - 80 USD since last Oct. (paid in GBP by cheque)

    Ipsos
    - 2 GBP so far, received just a few invitations

    SurveySpot
    - 10 GBP so far in my bank, they do rather specialised surveys, but if you are eligible they pay more than others (for instance last week they had a 60mins survey for 12.50 GBP)

After a few months I am better ca 250 GBP, so it's not scam :j (at least to me).

Personally I stopped doing sweepstakes surveys (lightspeed, opinionworld, etc.). Although, you can win as much as 5 grands, your chances are relatively very small. I prefer to be paid for every effort :D

Also am not big fan of Amazon codes (but, of course, accept them as it's better than nothing). Usually you can find a better deals in the net than Amazon prices. And you can spend them only in Amazon main site (affiliates shops are excluded).

If anybody fency to be referred by me, just drop me a PM.
To all my referrals I can help to make a better start.

I've also joined yougov about 2 weeks ago and haven't had a single survey.

Approx 5 surveys from GlobalTestMarket, none of which I was eligible for (although I only answered 2 or 3 questions before it bombed me out and got 5 points for the trouble) Wasn't even eligible for one that the email said wanted parents of 6-11 year olds, I have 9 year old!!!

Haven't had any surveys from ciao either.

I'm beginning to wonder whether 40 year old, ex-professional, stay-at-home mums don't have opinions worth listening to! Anyone out there any ideas as to what a good profile for being eligible for loads of surveys is?

Getting a bit despondant but not giving up yet - will try some of the others recommended in this thread and get back in a week or so with an update.

    10/03/06 Update
Just had the first survey from GlobalTestMarket for which I was eligible but it was so incredibly slow that I ended up bringing in the weeks shopping from the boot in between questions. Having said that, I had to pause half way through to do the school run and it was lightning fast when I got back.
Anyone else had the same experience?

FYI: Just tried to join greenfield and it seems to link to ciao which I have already joined. https://www.brainjuicer.co.uk doesn't seem to exist either. I've found https://www.brainjuicer.com but can't see how to apply.

    Anyone else have any information.
