Do you have to go along to weightwatchers meetings or is it enough to sign up on the website. I dont want to waste money on the meetings if I can do it only using the website.0

The very best place to ask your question is the thread in the link

Sorry squeeky. I thought that thread was about general losing weight but this one is about weightwatchers which is what I wanted to know about so I thought it was more suitable.0

Hiya - you could try this website: https://www.eattheseasons.co.uk
I signed up to their free email newsletter as well - gives you a weekly reminder of what's in season at the moment. HTH4 May 20100 -

How do you find it? I know it works if you stick to your points, but I get so irritated by it all.I've thought about No Count, but I can't see why you can't have bread, partic if it's wholemeal. It seems so complicated there must be an easier way!!0 -
:hello:
I've lost weight on WW No Count (although I cheat and borrowed somebody's plan - I don't go to meetings). Sign up to the free WW email and there'll be lots of yummy recipes, as well as a forum for inspiration. I've lapsed on a couple of occasions, but I'm happy with my slow loss - I started in November and hope to reach target by the summer.
One thing I've found is a lot of the WW recipes tend to use expensive ingredients - I remember a stirfry using fillet steak, and another with monkfish  - not very OS, especially if you're on a budget. I substitute lots of the ingredients for cheaper versions, with the same amount of points. (Think, say, value prawns instead of monkfish - still a stirfry and yummy).
It is hard to look at all the yummy recipes on here, as baking and weight loss seem mutually exclusive. Even things like baking bread - because I eat far more than I shouldBut, you can always save up your points for treats.
I steer away from WW branded food, as quite often a cheaper version is just as good. For instance, Tescos make yummy toffee slices, which are just as low in fat as WW, but half the price.
If you follow the No Count plan, then OS can be really easy. The plan places emphasis on cooking from scratch with fresh, unprocessed ingredients. So you can cook curries, spag bog, casseroles etc - quite often using standard recipes. If you substitute say, 1tbsp oil with a couple of sprays of cooking spray, many recipes are fine for WW.
Hope this helps.New year, no debt! Debt free date - 02/01/07 :j :j :j0
