Jesa - wow, your manor house is STUNNING! You’ve got some really good ideas about budget weddings already too, I might have to pinch a couple
We started planning our wedding last year, and unfortunately it was before I’d heard of MSE - we’ve spent more than I would like already, because we didn’t think to shop around. I’m desperately looking for any ideas to try and rein it in a little bit now and reduce the cost, with my newfound MSE knowledge! Lol.
Nothing more to add for me today… just wanted to tell you all how lovely Asda’s staff have been to me this evening, as they‘ve saved me being £10 down! I used the self service checkouts and got £10 cashback, but stupidly walked out and left my money in the machine. I went back when I realised, but nothing had been handed inCue me driving home absolutely kicking myself for just leaving a tenner for some scally to pinch! Then I got a phone call from a lovely lady saying they’d looked on the CCTV and turned out a member of staff had heard the machine beeping and handed my £10 to a man behind me, thinking he was with me! (he wasn‘t) But they said if I came into Customer Services they would reimburse me £10
So just wanted to let you all know how lovely and helpful Asda staff are, and give them 3 cheers! I am wondering if I should write to the store manager and tell him his staff are fab… they could have easily have just told me to go away as it was my own silly fault, but they went out of their way to help. £10 isn’t much money really, but it is when money is a bit tight, so I really appreciated it.
Oh, and has anyone got an address for Wilkinson customer services? I had the most disgusting chicken wrap from there for my lunch yesterday, I swear they had stuck it together with lard  I'm going to write to them as well...hoping I might get a voucher to reimburse me for it if I complain, as it really was inedible!
ETA - sorry, I'm still rambling on...is anyone else on Littlewoods bingo for the 1p plays? I can't get it to loadMust be overrun with us MSE'ers!

Aw thanks glitter - there is probably an MSE weddings thread somewhere on this site. I'll have to have a look as it helps a lot when you pool ideas together
You should definately write to Asda as its not often people write thank you's, more often people only write in to complain about things. I'm sure they would really appreciate it

My computer crashed at the weekend and I've had withdrawal symptoms from this forum.. I thought I was going to have to pay through the nose to get it fixed or even have to buy a new one as I do a lot of work from home and can't do without a computer for long periods - but I fixed it myself by following the trouble-shooting guide - since I am not known for my ability to follow instruction manuals so I am very pleased with myself.
Made £29.98 on eBay, £36.64 on Amazon. Also I returned on a pair of M & S trousers that I paid £32.50 for after finding 2 almost identical pairs (Next) in a charity shop for £2.99 each!! Did the same for some toaster bags from Boots costing £3.99 that I then found in a 99p shop. I don't normally record savings but on this ocassion i will as its money directly back in my pocket - £29.45 taking into account what I spent on the cheaper items....
Its good to be back...:beer:Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.
