New Dish March

Options
Anyone up to trying the new dish challenge again this month? I finished off last month by making double chocolate chip muffins which I had never attempted before, they didn't look too chocolately but they got polished off by the kids.

This week it's going to be veggie crisps as I want to try using my dehydrator a bit more and if they are a success then it will save on the amount of crisps I have to buy. I think the V-Slicer will come in handy for this.

Our latest two "new" dishes for us have been (OH and I share the cooking 50/50) carrot and corriander soup and a veggie lasagne. Count us in for this new challenge!

Oh dear. Does that mean I'll have to look through the recipe thread again? :D;)

I picked one from the recipe threads last time, so this time I'm going to find one (or two) in one of my cookery books. It will have to be something that fits in well with my cupboard stocks rather than something I like the look of but would have to go shopping for.

    Hmm... :)

Spend so far £230!! (Ohhh my days HELP) still got almost 2 weeks left!!
  • How did the crisps go moggins - i could try some myself, the peppers were a great success in the deydrator, so I want to branch out, trying to get hold of some cheap onions to dry.
I quite often try new things, low boredom threshold! I have stacks of stuff I've printed out from here, websites or ripped out from the sunday paper magazines.
I try and see which ones i want to make and make sure I have all the ingredients when i go shopping!

Haven't tried them yet, it's on the list for this week as I've run remarkably low on veggies, I'll see what is going cheap at the market :D
