Do citi do instant answers if you can be verified bt Electoral list etc??
and do they use Experian like Egg do?
Yes you get instant decision. I never, I got a 'we'll be in touch' and then a week later got a PIN and rung to ask limit and got told 2 grand! Then the card came etc... still haven't signed a CCA yet! LOL
They searched Experian for credit card and both for bank account.2010 - year of the troll

Hi All,
I'm also looking for help - I'm currently looking at getting my first BT credit card and was hoping someone could tell me how much I should be expecting my limit to be? I am looking at an MBNA card, have a good job, mortgage and apparently a good credit rating. I'm looking for about £8000 and was wondering if this is likely?
Thanks in advance0 -

I applied for a Citi card today, they use electronic signatures (like Egg do) so you won't need to sign anything. The age of technology ...:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

It's impossible to say - they have so many criteria that range and vary from day to day. But £8000 as a starting limit is high, I'd say, and you'd be unlikely to get it. Won't know til you try though and you may be able to talk them round.0 -

agreed - each lender scores you differently - read other threads - Tesco/MBNA give high limits to start - if you're credit worthy as you say you are!2010 - year of the troll

No, I got the 'we'll be in touch' letter .... I've been banking with Citibank for over 2 years now so hoping that'll count in my favour. :A:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

I applied and got that screen then out the blue got my PIN..... just like that! 2 grand start limit and my first real credit card. I bank with hsbc.
Funnily enough citi refused me a bank account a week earlier than I applied for the credit card... hmmm, strange!
did you apply for gold AAdvantage or the basic one? Gold is scored higher I know that.2010 - year of the troll

Lol, Citi seem to be a law unto themselves don't they .. Mind you, I got my Citi account when they were going through a period of accepting anyone (around Jan 2007).
I applied for the Platinum Mastercard - they only offer a choice of 2 at the moment, the other being the Gold AAdvantage one.
I knoww Citi own Egg which I got accepted for ... so I'll be interested to see how this application turns out ..:happylove Tori Bellatrix :happylove

yea but citi and egg operate independantly like rbs/tesco etc....
You may get accepted, if not certainly appeal. Yea the good old days from jan 07 have gone and citi are not giving any bank accounts to sub prime any more.... they must have wanted to fill their coffers with high riskers lol2010 - year of the troll
