Hi
I have the 5150 Dell, no problems so far. It should be fine for what you want it for.
Don't know about Mesh computers, what sort of support/reviews they get.
Hot Deals for the 5150 are here

Hope this helps0 -
thanks for that
one reason for looking at Mesh is because it offered 3 yrs after sales support, but not worth it if they're no good

I have happily had a Mesh pc for many years and have recommended them to loads of people. I have never had any problems with the machine and all the people I know who also got a Mesh (on my recommendation) are also very happy with their purchase.
I couldn't comment on their customer services as I havent had to use them - but I can imagine it being similar to PC World/Dell etc - ie loads of waiting on telephone etc.
All PC companies seem to fail on this side of things!

We're on our third Mesh.
Mesh 1 + 2 still going strong.
Only issue we had was a fan prob which turned out to be a faulty batch that Mesh had got in so not really their fault.
Definately been loads of poor service reports all over the net, but imo every computer manufacturer has had the same so it's luck of the draw when it comes to it. Personally I don't think Mesh are any worse than any of the rest, lol.
In fact one of their support blokes sent me out extra software disks that he wasn't really supposed to ....made a nice change from having to scrounge back up software from others because your pc manufacturer doesn't include it as standard and the pre-installed back up recovery function fails. :undecided
Also know of several other peeps who have Mesh and are happy. Age old thing though...you really never hear about the good side of things, only the probs.Herman - MP for all!

Hi
Look at the Dell 9150, almost same spec as the other one, with a nice 19" monitor, all you have to do is add speakers, and its a bit cheaper.

MESH are fantastic.
I own an Elite 2000F which I bought in November 2001, still going strong yet after a few upgrades (DVD writer
).
Only had one problem with it, the power supply exploded when I set it to 115v by mistake, customer support was fantastic and I had the machine back within a week (My warranty was 1 year onsite, 2 year RTB.)
Absolutely fantastic company, highly reccomended.0 -
I would recommend the DELL systems 100%. We have just recently purchased a second Dell and its perfect - never had any problems and it cost a fraction of what PC World/Staples charge!
In the same light, I have heard that MESH are just as reliable though!0 -
PCNextday are a company in Birmingham. They have been appearing in the top ten recommended lists in PC Adviser for that past 3 yrs. (Frequently in the top 3).
I used to have a Dell but got fed up with them when they moved their Support abroad.
I'm afraid the following rings a bell with me
" Mujibar was trying to get a job in India.
The Personnel Manager said, "Mujibar, you have passed all the tests,
except one. Unless you pass it you cannot qualify for this job."
Mujibar said, "I am ready."
The manager said, "Make a sentence using the words Yellow, Pink and Green."
Mujibar thought for a few minutes and said, "Mister manager, I am ready."
The manager said, "Go ahead."
Mujibar said, "The telephone goes green, green, green, and I pink it up,
and say, 'Yellow, this is Mujibar.'"
Mujibar now works as a technician at a Dell call center for computer problems.
No doubt you have spoken to him."I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0
