If anything, the poor exchange rate keeps some of the rowdy Brits away.
theyve gone all inclusive
dragging thier toddlers into the hotel bars and getting hammered
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Maybe I'm getting old
GG
Darn it. Where's the fun in that?0 -
I'm off to Majorca in a few weeks and it seems to me from looking online that most prices are similar to here. I'm going self catering and don't expect to be spending that much - just want to chill out on the beach. I think it'll probably still work out cheaper than a week in a self catering apartment in the UK would be.
Hi beecher where you going? We go to Santa Ponsa on the 25th april for 10 nights.0 -
I tried all inclusive once. Never again, thank you.
My timeshare is great.

I was there a few weeks ago - free WiFi around the beach area!mr.broderick wrote: »Hi beecher where you going? We go to Santa Ponsa on the 25th april for 10 nights.0 -

Jardin del Mar on the north side of the bay - sea-view rooms face south, so sun most of the day (you need to be on the beach or the south side for sunset piccies though...).mr.broderick wrote: »Where did you stay? Is it ok? I have been all over mallorca but never santa ponsa.
Quite small (oh err missus, just read your 10:14...), not a lot going on when I was there, but apparently it does liven up a bit after Easter. Hired a car so was out+about most of the time (only there for a week) - handy for Soller (good hairpinny scenic drive up the coast road), Palma, Sant Elm and a few others.
Tourist info on the beach has maps of the resort and Mallorca main roads, but easy enough once you get the one-way system in the brain.
Good site for maps, directions, and what's what http://www.majorca-mallorca.co.uk/santa_ponsa.htm would recommend printing the resort map - I missed the TURN RIGHT HERE roundabout (well it was after 10pm), but twigged where I was as the map has a lot of named hotels on it.0 -

We are staying at the punta del mar. Amazingly there is another member going to santa ponsa on the 25th!!0 -
Dunno if that has parking, the main road was pretty chocker even though Santa Ponsa seemed quiet. If you are hiring a car, the road running round 'the square' (apparently where 'the action' is to be found) is one-way anti-clockwise - one of them 'seeing the hotel before the no entry sign' moments...
To get to the sandy beach - go just past Jardin del Mar and there's a path on your right, or path to another bay (Costa de la Calma) on the left between you and the Jardin de Playa.
Nearest supermarket (I think) past Jardin del Mar around 50 yards. Cashpoint other side of the road (where the taxis all hang out) between JdM and supermarket.0
