What is it when someone comes on to a forum bragging about their wealth? n particular in times like this? It tells me an awful lot about that person and I am glad I don`t have to meet her!

very true - it's always the same people that rejoice if one of the house price indexes go down. they let everyone know that their virtual wealth has increased by £2k or £3k each month.

yes, you're right it tells you a lot about some deperate people on here.

as for me?? house prices go up, house prices go down. house prices go up, house prices go down. it's part of life.

Since the debacle of 15% interest rates, the sweaty and shameful withdrawal from the ERM and the demise of Thatcherism, also the decline from over three million unemployed, I have prospered with the good stewardship of Labour chancellors.

This government has allowed me to realise standards of living not associated with capitalist bondage.

Many will know from previous postings that I am a farmer and a cash rich landlord,(Lady).

In 1992 I bought 2 semi detached houses in Aberdeen for £91,750 as a cash buyer, today they are selling and very quickly at a little over £200,000,both are on long leases to BP at £1100 PCM.

I also have two holiday properties in an area of oustanding natural beauty which are free from mortgage and very heavily booked until until the beginning of November a real bonus as the season nomally ends in September.

So all is not Gloom, infact I am just back from Java and feeling quite perky and hopefull.

Sweetheart, sorry to hear that you aint getting any but dont worry Fungus will be along soon to offer his services.:rotfl:

All I can hope for is that our poor, deluded islandannie is not currently an air traffic controller...

heaven help the poor pilots, if she is.

Oh well, putting you back on ignore, Mrs!

She sounds so similar to pickledpink in her postings. One of the best made up stories of wealth that we have read, probably could not get to the library to pick up a new copy of Mills and Boon.

Unfortunately you appear to be summing up the result of the years of Labour stewardship. The creation of inflated property wealth which has been created on the back of a binge on cheap credit. Where is the real wealth creation in this country for the masses?

Oh and I earned my money by being smarter than most ,so suck your locust theory.

How did you aquire the original cash to buy those Aberdeen properties?

Also, as a keen investor myself, I can assure everyone that UK holiday lets are considered by most smart investors to be bottom of the list when you boil down total returns against the considerable upkeep costs - we've all stayed in such places and know there are always TVs to fix, plates to replace, taps to unstick.

Also Any, equating intelligence (your'e 'I'm smarter than most') with wealth, most especially property wealth, is for me a pretty shallow state of afairs. Self elevation is pitiful in fact.

Sorry, I couldn't read past this bit without tears of laughter obscuring my view.

Haven't you got a world to save Gordon?

Pickles you are the most pathetic, obvious and yet devious poster I've come across. Whoever impersonated you yesterday did it with a certain style and flair. Something you just don't have. To then start some sort of crusade by copying another poster endlessly - it's the same thing over and over again. Pointless.

How about you try just once contributing something honest and decent to this forum?
