Uh...people who ordered these on the evening of the 1st are being told there are stock problems. I wouldn't bother ordering one now, as it looks like they sold out Wednesday night. Check the W800i thread to see what I mean.

pretty much same story here. Already have an Orange contract, passed with no probs and all bills paid by D/D on time. However when I tried to order this deal a few days back, e2save sent me a text saying to ring customer service, I'd been denied!

Funnily enough the orange contract I already have was also purchased from e2save

To top it off though, I was unemployed when I got my Orange contract back in Nov. Now employed and they've declined me! somethings not right

curiouser and curiouser... after i got the text from them yesterday, i checked the website order tracker and it said that my network credit check had been unsuccessful.

after much waiting interminably listening to the lighthouse family this morning, i finally got through to one of their operators. when i told him my order number, he immediately said "weird". he then came back and said he'd just put the credit check through (there was a "computer upload error" with the first one, apparently), and now i would just be waiting on the handset appearing back in stock. so it might be worth giving them another try.

I've got the same "waiting for stock" message. Just a quick question - do u think they have already done the credit check with Orange, or will the they for stock and then do one?

ah, a quick clarification. i followed the clearance link from this thread initially, but i ended up ordering the nokia 6230i with 1000 xnet minutes as this would be more useful for me. i have been told there is a 3 or 4 day wait for these.

as i understand it (as he explained it), when you submit a web form it is automatically uploaded for a credit check. if there's a problem it's referred to the network for a final decision, which is where mine failed due to the "upload error". he claimed he had just manually redone the credit check and it had passed, and that now i am just waiting a few days for delivery of my handset (the nokia rather than the samsung).

incidentally, he also made a big point of explaining that this is an end of financial year clearout; at this stage they're looking for mass connections to bolster the CPW share price, apparently.

I should have had a D600 and a V3 delivered by 1pm today. Neither showed up, nor have I had any E-mails to say if or when they're likely to show.

First time user of E2save and not impressed so far - I'll stick to Dialaphone in the future !!

I sympathise as I'm having same trouble. They don't seem to look after us first time users ;)

Have you tried ringing their 0800 sales line ? If you do take option 1 and they will reluctantly try to help. If you take option 2 you will probably be cut off, as I was many times this morning.
  • Firstly, E2Save said bank details did not match - so emailed them and got a response that I could not have the phone - since apparently I had already had four phones through CPW group in a year. Rang them - said no I hadn't,pointed out this was replacing a contract that was nearly a year old - they checked again - 'yes you're right phone will be with you on Tuesday' - yet supposedly this is out of stock ?
I ordered on Tuesday night - so may have held some back for queries on orders that they were not able to process immediately - will find out Tuesday.
