I may be missing something but why destroy the SIM? You could use the 1000 off-peak minutes instead of your landline (put it in an old phone if necessary).
A word of warning - by destroying the SIM card you may also be invalidating the contract, and therefore your cashback? Technically it belongs to the network, according to the t&cs, and they could recall it at any time?

The phone i got was defiantly unlocked so i presume all the D600's e2save sell will be unlocked. I tried it with an o2 contract sim, an Orange PAYG and contract sim and a Virgin PAYG sim, haven't tried it on any other networks, but i assume it will work fine on all.0

im going to order one of these.... how much do I pay? £20 a month even if im only using the phone with my own simcard in it?
