nope im with you...she made me feel stupid!! What did you offer for what asking price? im in need of help!!!0

That's what she tried to do to me! I felt like it was a "technique" to make me feel bad for making a low offer. We both knew it was a silly offer, but that's the game!
The house was on for £199,995 with one of those golden cheques with 5% off, making the price £189,995. We needed to do a part exchange and she'd offered us £135,000 for our house, so i offered £160,000 for theirs.
She said no straight away and that the best they could do was £135K for ours and £190K for theirs. There was no room for further negotiations. They didn't give me any indication they would be willing to move on it at all so i left it.
I'd seen on nethouseprices.co.uk that they'd sold one the same for £179,995 at the end of last year.
Now the houses we were looking at have been removed from the "available" part of their website so i;m assuming they've sold them all.
One thing i did notice, which is interesting. I saw a house for sale privately on the same development that had been built in 2007. It was on sale at £205K with a note saying "competitively priced to sell fast" (or words to that effect). The self same type of house is being sold now in their latest phase for £235K, but this "second hand" one had the kitchen upgrade, downlighters, carpets, turf, decking, chrome door handles, etc etc etc already done for the £205K. I had a nosey on nethouseprices and it actually sold for £195K - £40K cheaper than what they are asking brand new without all the bells and whistles!!Sarah.

not sure what deal your after, why would there be a differential between your house and theirs if your a cash buyer? do you mean after you sell your own house? or if im reading you right you want part exchange with a cash discount? there has to be a differential of 30% with Wimpeys some developers are less at 25% some more. you will always get the best price if you are proceedable and able to exchange contracts within 28 days, when u go back in explain how she mad u feel after all she is not god...my bark is worse than my bite!!!!!!!!0

no im the buyer....we got cash, no chain and no contract on rental.
House is at 127 and they said rock bottom price 119 without carpets or turfed garden. but we cant afford more than 110. But they offer 5% paid deposit with other incentives which would calculate less. I thought we would get a better deal for cash.0
