Chislehurst (where I live) is extremely nice but very pricey, and I wouldn't be able to afford it other than I rent the place, but it might be worth looking to see if there are any repo's for sale in this area.
Theres a couple of nice things around here, but im not sure on the roads can anyone help ?

You know it was hard to spell Beulah Hill when I was kid but it did master it eventually. 14 or 15 years after having to write, it I forgot how to spell it again! I was sitting there at the time really struggling and feeling that frustrated that somewhere quite important in my life I couldn't even spell anymore! Thanks for reminding me of the correct spelling. :rotfl:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

We looked at a couple of flats round there and didn't like it at all. I can't remember the name of the roads but the houses backed onto a big park, which had loads of litter, graffiti and kids hanging about - it definitely felt a bit 'rough'. I'm sure someone will come on here and say they live there and it's wonderful, but it didn't appeal to us. It also seemed to be a bit lacking in general day-to-day facilities, like shops etc, but we found that whole area a bit like that. Lots of investment in out-of-town shopping areas and Bluewater, but lots of the town centres and high streets felt dead.0 -
There have been a few mentions of Eltham here & the area known as Eltham Park is especially nice. It has a very villagey feel, is very quiet & close to the station. No secondary schools nearby but good primary/junior schools.
There is plenty of greenery & wide open spaces in this area too.
There are a mixture of Victorian, Edwardian & 1930's properties & it's the 1930's houses that offer the best value of all.
I lived in the area for over 5 yrs till I moved last year. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Bexleyheath used to be a beautiful place to live, but, it is being swallowed up by London.
Maybe go a bit further out (a couple of miles) and look at Dartford (shi.hole) Sidcup (shi..hole)
Hmmm
