I'm looking to buy a new car. Have narrowed it down to two but can't decide which. Any recommendations?
07 (plate) Mercedes 200 CDI
or
58 (plate) SAAB 1.9 TDI Vector

Well my view is this Merc build quality in the last 10 years has gone to the dogs big time IMO
Saab well are nice cars but if they do go bust as is looking likley! then there may be a chunk of depreciation to take into consideration.
Have you thought about Audi

Are buying for a short time or do you intend to keep it longer than 3 years0

Buy a slightly used Saab Vector. They are Vectra based and proven sales rep type technology. Also economical and with plenty of zip.0

indend to keep car for 3 to 4 years0

I had a 93 Vector for a few months end of 2007, lovely car to drive, looked good and if you buy one maybe a year old then they can be half the new price.
Have you tested either yet?0
